What type of books did Semmie like? She scanned the library quickly, glazing over the books they both held and thought rapidly before blurting out "any, the interesting ones". That was the basic. It was the bent truth, the truth someone would like to hear. It was true in the aspect of she judged the book by it's cover. Well, with her powers if it had a beautiful cover, it's past would be beautiful. If the cover was worn and old, then it's past would be worn and old. If there were many pages in the book, then chances were there was a long past. And so on and so forth. "What about you? You've picked out an odd choice of book. Not something a girl like you would pick out," she said deciding to drop out the words "pretty" and "little".

I nod a bit. That was an blank type of response, but at least the girl had replied at all. She had met many people in her life that wouldn't even reply to questions. "Books in general are good I guess." Flayace smiled though, liking the short response. She had to ask the same question to herself. Though she was reading a mystery bool, she really did like all types, as her mood and favorites changed.

She thought for a moment though, and then made up her mind before the girl even asked. I smiled a bit, and looked at the book, then back up at the girl. "I like all books really, they all are different and unique in their own way." Flayace paused. "I really like mysterious thinking though, even if it isn't what most girls my age like, or what people think I should be reading." She paused again, looking down for a second. "I really like everything though." She laughed a bit nervously, her eyes changing eyes.

"You shouldn't be reading romance books at your age though," Semmie piped up becoming full of life. Semmie pulled a pen and a piece of paper out of her pocket, it was stained with the tea she had been drinking earlier and from where she had torn it you could still see the small printing of letters of a novel; and smiled deviously to herself. "I have a plan," she bit her pen thinking of what she was going to write and then let her writing doing the talking:

Here are a list of books to read:
~ To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee
~ The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
~ The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett
~ Anne Of Green Gables - L.M. Montgomery
~ Life Of Pi - Yann Martel
And for some light reading, for the strange girl you are (I believe you to be feminine really, beneath your mystery) I have chosen these books that I highly recommend:
~ Looking For Alaska - John Green
~ One Day - David Nicholls (this may be a bit mature for your age, but you like a little of everything)
~ Will Grayson, Will Grayson - John Green & David Levithan
Semmie Hale

Her writing was neat and well present with all the flicks in the right place and pushed it into Flayace's hand. "If you're ever bored you know what to do, come looking for me or the library and you should find at least one of them." She paused and gave a devilish smile at her and moved her head towards her ear, "though if you ask for the last book, don't tell the librarian what it contains, I doubt you'd be allowed it in here..." She caught her breath back, because whispering took great effort and said "So... where were we?"

Flayace wondered as to what the girl was doing. She wasn't one to just stick to a certain type of genre, trying them all out. She studied the girl for a few seconds, a bit confused as to what she wanted to do and that small statement. A few seconds later though, she started to write something. Apparently it was just a plan, but what type? As she waited, Flayace got more and more curious as to what she was writing down. A letter? Her favorite book? Her number?

It could be anything, so she just patiently waited, eyeballing the girl every few seconds. As Semmie finished, the girl pushed a list into her hands, a list of books. Flayace smiled as she got it out and read over the contents of it. She had only read one or two, but would gladly read them again. Flayace looked up and gave a thoughtful smile to the girl, laughing a bit out of happiness. "Thank you Semmie, this is really great!" saying enthusiastically, she folded the piece of paper into her pocket. After a few seconds, making sure it would stay in her pocket so she wouldn't lose it, she looked up at Semmie. "We were talking about books, of course." She laughed a bit, thinking about what the last book on the list was.

Flayace looked slightly younger than Semmie and she felt that maybe she hadn't had a normal childhood compared to her, she was making assumptions based on the strangeness of her name. She peered up at her "these are good books to read for fun but will also help you as you grow up. I read them, and loved them. Now it's my turn to give them to someone else." She said with complete sentimentality and slight doubt because everyone was different and she hadn't had the chance to let someone else read these books that she was recommended but Flayace looked like she'd give anything ago so maybe Semmie had made a good choice after all.

Flayace smiled again and stared at Semmie happily. It was something that no one had ever done for her. It was very sweet to Flayace. She scratched her nose and laughed a bit. As she listened to the girl, she smiled a bit more as she heard the words 'grow up'. It was funny that people though of her as a small person, that she was too young, which didn't really bother her. Flayace just could never figure out my they said those things to her. At least this girl was being more indirect. "Thank you Semmie, this is really nice of you to do this." She paused and nodded. "I will make sure to read these books and enjoy them as much as I can." She smiled and clasped her hands together on the table. "I wish I could give you something!" She said enthusiastically.

"You don't need to give me anything, silly!" Semmie laughed shaking her head. "Of course you don't have anything to give me, I only gave you kindness and something everyone needs." She wasn't sure where she was going with this but she felt like it was helping Flayace in some kind of way. She felt that what she was doing would be beneficial for her in the long run.

Flayace nodded. "Okay then." I wasn't her to just to not give something back to someone. She liked to help. "Thank you again though." She smiled at Semmie. What a nice girl she was, or at least she seemed that way in Flayace's eyes. "It just makes me happy to see that at least some people here are nice enough to do things like that." She laughed a bit and paused. "You know what, if I ever see you again, I'll get you something, okay? I just feel bad that I am not giving you anything." She tilted her head a bit. "Even though it isn't that big of a deal."

Semmie gave a little sideways smile and bit her lip, "I guess I can't argue with you on that. But I'll keep away haha," she laughed jokingly. "No but seriously. I wouldn't keep away from you. But you really don't need to get me anything. Maybe a trip to the city and we could buy a few books if you would like?" She felt curious all of a sudden and wanted to see her past and just touch her in a small way so she could see why Flayace was Flayace and not another Flayace... not that there was another Flayace.

Go to a book store? Did they even have one on this island? Flayace hadn't really been in the city all that much since she had been here. "Yeah, I'd really like that." She smiled a bit at Semmie. "That would be a lot of fun, as I didn't even know they had a bookstore here." She laughed a bit nervously, and looked away from a second s she felt that her emotions were changing. "Thank you for the offer, I guess I don't have to get you something, and that a trip would be just as good."
