For a moment, Riley felt he had succeeded- the boy was leaving, though it didn't stop his crying. He only slumped back onto the bench, rubbing at his face to try and force himself to relax He needed to stop, he needed to calm down.
Soon, positive thoughts flowed in, though- thoughts that caused him to freeze up once more. This.. couldn't be from him. It felt like it, but he knew himself, and had never thought positively of himself- at least, he thought he didn't. He often grew scared of how little he knew of himself, on top of the memories of others he would lose.
He sat there fighting it a moment, hissing to himself, "No, you don't. You don't deserve anything, because you're going to forget it anyway." Something in this relaxed him, though. That was right. His memory would reset by tomorrow. Things would be fine, then. He'd scared Sissel off, at least- if it wasn't him causing this.. he couldn't tell.
He continued to sit there, in silence for a long moment, before sighing and thinking, Why are you like this?
