The dazzling newness of Manta Carlos was starting to wear off. It was a shame for Florentin. He'd thought that having more independence would make him happier, but it didn't. Nothing did. The bright, lovely smile he wore trembled most days, and a dark bile bubbled underneath the surface, right in the pits of his stomach and crawling in his veins. He was sick, not just physically, but right in the head. Not even sleeping in Sasha's arms helped in this. The nightmares raged and raged.

He needed to be sedated or exhausted for slumber. Around eleven, Florentin gave up on any hopes of rest, and went into the bathroom to freshen up. He did his hair so they were as straight as a waterfall, put some powder on to hide his eyebags, and eyeliner to make his eyes pop. Pretty and well-dressed. Nobody would even begin to suspect he was sick.

He put on his nice shoes and traveled into the dark with no aims whatsoever, unsure if the cold air made him better or worse. His long walk had been safe. He was sure the road was filled with monsters, but he was secure that his guardian angel would get anything nasty before he would even see them. It felt like a bad thing, at that moment. Florentin wanted to get his hands on something, kill or be killed.

He needed a drink.

He stepped into a bar Downtown, feet aching. The lighting seemed to help with clearing his head. He tapped his finger's on the wooden counter. "Hello, sir? A strawberry daiquiri, please."

Due to his frequent visits to the local bars; none of the bartenders asked him for his ID. Of course yes, the first few times it took a lot of sweet looks and coaxing for them to believe that he was eighteen. Though he usually pulled this off without any problems, it was hard to lie all the time. In just a few more months, he would be able to drink legally, to enough the sweetness of staying up all night and partying without thinking that his drunk self would spill his little secret out. Oh yes, in a few, very long stretched months, Cairo would be free.

In the meantime though, he had settled for a smaller bar in the downtown area as he was mentally a tad too tired to go out partying. No, for that night he chose a quieter place to feast his eyes on the prey that came in. The one that he saw before him was quite a special specimen. Perky lips, fine and silky looking hair, pale skin... What a perfect thing to gaze at. Cairo moved himself over a few seats-so that he was now only a chair apart from the man- before he coughed to get his attention. "You can put that on my tab." With an agile smile, he eyed the bartender before they nodded to him. The boy leaned ever so gently on the bar counter, his head tilted in the direction of his newest target. "I hope that is fine sweet thing?~"

Florentin was violently shook back into reality as this new person so readily invaded his personal space. At first, he stared at him with raised eyebrows and a mouth hanging open, trying to understand what was even going on. He recovered as soon as he finished talking.

"Ahh..." he said, a little dazed, before laughing. "Oh, you. What gave me away? Was it the strawberry daiquiri? Curse my weird cravings!" He tucked his hair behind his ear, chuckling softly.

He took a good moment to study the man. He was rather handsome. There was a nagging feeling at the back of his head that he was... supposed to recognize him, somewhere. He hadn't the slightest inkling on where to even start with that, however. Instead, his smiled changed to sly, and placed a hand to his lower thigh to tell him that he was very, very interested.

"Got your eyes on me, handsome?" He bit his lip. "I wouldn't mind keeping you company if you keep being sweet on me."

"I think it was everything." To be honest, everything about this man was intriguing. Though his choice in drinks had been a bit girly for his liking; it added character to this stranger. here was a weird sparkle in his eyes as they came closer together unconsciously. "The drink does sound good though." That wasn't the only good thing that he had on his mind though. This person was alluring, he pulled him in from his somewhat gloomy bar time. Now, there was a ray of color coming from this long haired beauty.

The hand was very forward indeed. Cairo leaned in even more, making sure that the other man knew that his signals were indeed correct. "How sweet would you like it? As much as your fruity drink I wonder?" If you looked close enough, there was a twinkle in his eye. "Though, maybe you would want to know my name before we get too friendly..." It was more so for the fact that Cairo wanted to know if this person had a rep. This man seemed sweet enough, which usually meant that there was a dark secret for them to hide. The scarlet colored eyed man gazed at him, before putting the man's hand a bit higher on his thigh. "Cairo."

The bartender served Florentin his drink. Florentin picked off the little umbrella from the top and spun it around, nibbling at the end of the toothpick with his teeth as he listened to "Cairo", an eyebrow cocked. Honestly, he was probably going to forget that in the morning, but he wasn't going to forget those lips, and that ass.

"Oh, it's very good. You want some?" Florentin raised his glass, urging Cairo to take a sip of his drink. He chuckled lightly as Cairo moved his hand up. "Is that how people here do handshakes now?" Florentin smiled sweetly. "Florentin. Of the Octavius Estate."

It wasn't a bad name. More prestigious, in fact. Florentin very much had a reputation, but it was with another identity — The Mad Doctor. Lovely Florentin Octavius was nothing but a rich pretty French heir, as sweet as a lamb. Nothing about his face said he could do any wrong.

"So... Cairo. What do you do? Other than pick up pretty boys in bars, I mean." He grinned.

With a nod, he leaned himself closer to the man so that his lips cupped around the drink. "Tastes kind of fruity to me... Is that normal?" Cairo's taste buds had always been a bit off, so asking someone who seemed to drink them regularly would be the best bet. "Only some type of people honey." He paused to take a breath. "Florentin, what a pretty name." The man smirked cooly as he said it a few times in his head. "I like the sound of that, kind of just rolls off your tongue, you know?" With a sharp gasp after a menacing giggle, he continued on.

"Well that is my favorite thing to do, if you can't tell already." Cairo backed up and removed his hand, making it so Florentin would have to come to him if he wanted more. Oh how he hoped that was the case. "I am about to finish off high school, then I plan to go into welding. Metals are so peculiar." There was a short sigh as he blinked at his specimen. "I've always loved to work with stiff hot things. Whether that be metal or well, what you probably thought I meant. It works well with my other profession at temptations." No, he wasn't shy about the fact that he was a prostitute. The man loved sex, so there was no reason as to why he should hide that fact.

"It's a strawberry daquiri, darling. It's supposed to be sweet." Florentin grinned. He'd like a few things that rolled off his tongue. Truth be told, this much tension was starting to get to him, but like hell would he do the first move. He wanted to be the object of desire and let them come to him. He wasn't looking for love, and neither was Cairo.

"Metals and Temptations. I see. You must be good with your hands." He giggled, rubbing one of Cairo's arms with a hand. "I don't think I can ever compete with a professional, but I've been told I was a talented amateur." He retracted his hand to raise his drink and take a sip. "I'm partial to magic, myself. I like to think of myself as a scholar. There's no euphemisms with that of course, unless I was to be unpleasant and say... I can't think of anything. Something with fingers and page turning." He snickered. "I love learning almost as I love city lights and people."

"Ah, it seems that my taste for alcohol has gotten weak." Perhaps it was just his tastebuds that were throwing him off rather than Florentin's drink as a whole. When he noticed that the man wasn't getting any closer, he started to wonder if he was the only one that was interested in this. The hand on his arm made him blush slightly, as the warmth seemed to transfer over. "Oh I am indeed." The cockiness of his position came back, which made him lean halfway to the chair and Florentin. With a teasing smile, he listened with upmost focus.

"Magic has always intrigued me. Having the thought to create such otherworldly constructs out of nothing is a true skill." He tapped his index finger on his upper lip as he thought out his next words. "I'd love to see for myself, if you give out private lessons. Then I can see for myself if your hands are only amateur, yes? Only on a magical level, of course." With that, he winked coyly at the man before giving the bartender a side glance, wondering if he should get another drink. "Is there anything else you love perhaps?"

Florentin giggled as he got closer, moving his hands to rest on Cairo's cheeks, stroking it with his thumb. "It is, isn't it? I am considered quite the genius for my age. Perhaps more private demonstrations would be preferable." He chuckled.

He was getting bored with these games. When he was asked anything else he loved, he cocked an eyebrow. He took one of Cairo's arms and wrapped it around his waist, before leaning forward to whisper in his ear, "I happen to love many things, cheri. Magic, night life, handsome men that would take me into their beds." He bit his lip, resting his hand on his thigh again, intent. "Are you such a man? Or should I keep looking?"

"I would say so, considering..." He eyed his entire body, making reference to the fact that he was indeed very attractive. He thumb on his cheek was soothing somehow, even though he was sure that you weren't supposed to be okay with having a stranger's hand so close to you. Cairo didn't care for such petty thoughts. The rather forceful closeness that they soon had more so excited him. He was exciting.

Not just with his appearance, drink choice or the small cloud of mystery that he seemed to have, but the genuine excitement that Cairo got in his stomach as they inched together. With a tug, he brought his hand around as much as he could without losing his balance. "I would self proclaim myself as being one of those men. Oh yes, definitely." He eyed the man's rear before humming a soft tone of delight. "And you are quite the specimen to be taking into bed, might I say." Cairo leaned and gave a well placed kiss on Florentin's upper ear.
