Two Birds One Stone

Zora glanced at her watch. It was still early, and as far as she knew, she didn't think Broen had class at the moment. Granted, she hadn't asked him that morning when she talked to him before she left for work.

"Call or text him if you want, I am in no hurry," Zora said agreeably since Jude had his phone already out. "I also prefer the bull by the horns theory, and since we are here and ready to do this, we might as well do it now while there's momentum behind the idea." she said, very much the let's do it as soon as possible type person.

Chatting with Jude for the time it took Broen to arrive, Zora glanced up when Broen showed up finally in a car. She had been sort of expecting him to teleport, but then remembered his powers didn't work like hers.

"Hey there," she said with a welcoming smile when he greeted her, glad to see him. "Jude and I were waiting for you. We wanted to let you in on what we want to do since, well, it concerns, Frederick," she told Broen, and then glanced at Jude and gave him a tiny nod, deciding to let him explain since he had had the idea originally, and probably knew and understood both Broen and Frederick a little better than she did.

"What? If everything goes sideways, then you are not alone," Zora told Broen meeting his gaze, "He can only hurt you, or me, or Jude," here she glanced at Jude for a second,"if we do nothing."

"He might be suspicious of me, or even Jude, but that's fine. I mean, he's not dangerous, right?" she said glancing questioningly at both men, "And if he's not dangerous, he will either lie about his intentions, which is still better than not knowing, or he might actually confide in me. Besides, he only suspects we are together, and if he does know otherwise, he doesn't know that I know he was horrible to you," she explained.

"I have always been cordial and polite to him, even when he showed up unannounced at the house. I didn't act wary or strange, or even mocking..." she reasoned, hoping she could convince him.

"Thank you," Zora said with a grateful look on her face, relieved Broen was going to let them help him. Reaching out, she took his hand in hers and squeezed it. "And if Crawford tries anything, I will also clock him," she said glancing at Jude and smiling.

"Or have you forgotten that you taught me to defend myself if I had to," she reminded him. "Also, I can take my gun, but I prefer not to in case he tries to take it from me," she told Broen and Jude.
