"Come on, come on... COME ON!" Minna said to the black disk of a device in her hands as she tried to turn off her power. Though setting someone's nerves on fire wouldn't work on a machine, this device was meant to tell someone if their power was working. Minna's trouble was that this little device always said her powers were on. Hence why she was trying to practice at this particular moment during the day. However it seemed that getting angry at the little green dot telling her that her efforts were fruitless was not in fact working. Like all the other times she got extremely frustrated with the device before.
Minna had to stop then and look away from the black device and at the seanery around her. Taking a minute or so to calm down and clear her head. Her teachers always said that her powers came from her mind, that getting into a specific state of mind was usually required to activate a power. However she was trying to find the right state of mind to turn OFF the power and this had been her biggest road block for two years now. No combination of mental states or lack there of had done anything for her powers. So far the biggest thing about all of this was that she didn't know if it could be turned off, the only person it hadn't worked against was her big sister. But big sis was pretty much indestructable already so it was no surprise to Minna that her sis couldn't be hurt by her.
With a sigh Minna looked back down at the Power Detector device that they would normally give to younger students still trying to learn to activate their powers. "This sucks, this has always sucked. Everyone else gets to learn to do something cool. Like controling fire, or flying. I get this stupid power that only hurts. Why did I even get this stupid power." It was here that Minna layed her head back against a tree put next to the bench for shade. Minna was on the grass of course, she had long since gotten tired of the bench. It was to hard to properly concentrate on, even if the grass might stain her long skirt it still felt better to sit on for long periods of time. It was here that Minna exhaled a sigh once more before she heard a voice suddenly talking to her making her scramble away from the source of another potential victim. Her gloves were off right now and sitting on said stupid bench, she didn't have time to put them on right now.
