Trying to Play the Piano

October bit the inside of her lip. Fine, be like that... she thought to herself. We're only trying to be nice... She shook her head, deciding forcing him wouldn't really be the best choice. Besides, she wasn't one to force someone to do something they didn't want to do. She looked back at Raphael, silent for a few moments.

"How long have you been here?" she asked him. "The school, I mean." She smiled somewhat, although she did feel a little bad about leaving Sonlath out of the conversation. But, what was she supposed to do? He had chosen not to talk to them.

"I have been here for a half and a day."

The girl's head tilted to the side somewhat. Huh? she thought to herself, before realizing that he probably meant a day and a half instead of a half and a day. "Oh, cool," she said, her head no longer tilted to the side. She didn't think it would be right to correct him, so she didn't. Besides, she just didn't like to correct people's mistakes. "I just got here today. What do you think of the school so far? So far, I've heard that it's boring..." She shrugged her shoulders gently, waiting to hear his opinion.

October's eyes went somewhat wide. "Adelina?" she repeated. She was sure that it was her sister, since her older sister thought that the school was boring as well, but she didn't want to just assume. She'd only been here a day; there may have been more than one person named Adelina in the school or something. "Um... was this Adelina mean to you? Like, did she not want you around or something like that?" she asked. That was the best description of her sister that she could come up with at the moment, and she thought hat it would probably work for now.

October nodded. "That's probably her..." she said. "Adelina is my sister... I'm sorry if she said anything mean to you or anything." She smiled somewhat. She would have to talk to her sister later to see if the two had met each other, since Adelina had said nothing to her about this guy. But, she wasn't surprised; her older sister rarely told her about random things that happened to her. Plus, she probably hadn't been at the school the day Raphael and Adelina met.

She noticed that Sonlath was still there, and still felt a bit bad for not including him. But, he had decided not to talk to them; they had both offered, and still he had said no. If he wanted to join in, though, she wouldn't really care.
