Alaric was once again hanging out with Lottie. She wanted to see some more of the island, and some of the more exciting places. What could be more exciting than a trip to space? Alaric had never been there himself, but he'd heard plenty from other family members. This would be a new adventure for both of them. Alaric was arguably nervous about that factor. But he was more nervous about the fact that he was spending time with her a lot lately. His dad said have fun on his date? What was up with that?

His tail swayed nervously as he waited for Lottie where they agreed to meet. Knowing Lottie she'd show up soon enough, and they could head to the station.

"Heeeyyy Alaric! I hope wasn't too late!" cried out Lottie as she waved to him from the passing crowd. As she made her way to Alaric she was practically out breath for she ran all of the way here after getting horribly lost. Thankfully a real nice couple was nice to give her directions. They were a bit cheeky as they wished her luck on her date but she was in too much of rush to really think about it. As she glanced at the time, she realized she wasn't as late as she feared, only about a minute or two after the agreed time to meet.

"OH hey... only a minute or two? Ha ha ha so... this where we go up that space station I have hearing all about?" perked up Lottie as she stretches out her sore legs for a moment.

Alaric imediately perked up when he heard Lottie's voice. He hadn't been waiting very long for her to show up. He actually made a point to get there a bit early so there wouldn't be any question about where exactly to meet. "Uh it's fine, really. I hadn't really been waiting long or anything."

His tail flicked as he glanced around before focusing back on Lottie. "But yeah this is the place where we head up to the station. Did you need to take a breather first? Because you're all out of breath and I have a pretty good idea of how you're gonna react the second we get up there."

He smirked a bit, he hadn't actually been up to the station himself either. It would be a new experience for both of them.

"Nope!" declared Lottie as she takes in a big gulp of air, her enthusiasm hiding the fact she is a bit winded. "I'm all ready to go and having my mind blown away ha ha ha!"

Lottie then looks to entrance nearby and points to it.

"So this is the place right? We just go in there and up up up it takes us?" asked Lottie, confirming what she already knows.

"Oh of course you are."

Alaric grinned, Lottie's enthusiasm kinda rubbed off on him. As it was prone to with just about anyone who was around her. It was definitely one of her best traits. "This is the place though, let's head up. I think we just stand on a platform or something."

Alaric led them inside and within a few moments they were up on the station. The scenery was definitely different. He'd never actually traveled via teleportation like that before. Or at least not over particularly long distances. The dragon was checking himself, making sure all of him made it. Of course he had. And Lottie was there with him.

"That was uh... interesting. What should we do first?"

There was a lot to do on the station, and people were going about their business much like they did in downtown Manta Carlos City except of course everything was indoors. A very large indoor...

In a flash, both Lottie and Alaric where in transported up to the station. The moment Lottie arrive she was quick to look at her new surroundings like an overly curious meerkat poking out from its burrow. It was all so vast and different to anything she ever saw. Even the people roaming about seem both normal and alien. The moment Alaric spoke up she she fixed her gaze onto him.

"Oh ummm... lets find a window and see what the view looks like!" declared Lottie, looking around for the nearest window "Ah over there! Come on lets go see!"

Lottie then grabs Alaric by the hand, excitedly dragging him with her until she come to a large viewing window. Once up close, she lets go of Alaric to marvel at view before them, her hands and face smushing up against the glass as her eyes feast at this indescribable wonder. Before them in that starry void there is was passing comet passing by like spear of light against the darkness.

"Wow! This is amazing! Isn't this amazing Alaric? Ha ha ha! Ohh... I wonder if you can see the Earth from here." spoke up Lottie as she marvels at the comet a little longer before fruitlessly trying to find the planet.

Alaric of course allowed himself to be led to one of the nearby window. It wasn't as visible, but he was just as excited as she was to see the view. And what a view it was, it just reminded him of something his mother had told him. The world is one tiny grain of sand.

"I don't think you can see Earth, we're actually really far out. But I think that comet counts as a shooting star so we might as well make a wish," he said with a shrug. He wasn't sure if that suggestion was cool or corny. Either way, he wasn't passing up the opportunity to make a wish.

"Oh! I know what I am going to wish for then!" Lottie then closed her eyes, concentrating on her wish. Once it was, she opened her eyes and pulled herself off from the window to turn to Alaric with big smile ever present on her face.

"Okey! I made my wish. Lets go see all of the other fantastical things we can find here!" cheered on Lottie, spinning on her heel to look at the vast lobby of alien peoples mingling about. After a quick scan Lottie picks out a path to follow and turns to Alaric. "Lets head down over there and see what we can find. Sound good?"

Alaric nodded in agreement with Lottie, "Well it wouldn't be much of an adventure if we just knew exactly where to go and all that."

He headed down the path to see just what was in store for them this way. Seemed like there was a lot of stores and kiosks, kind of like a shopping mall. They were clearly geared to tourists, and travelers visiting the station. It would make sense that they would put their shopping area near their teleportation hub. That probably meant they weren't too far off from seeing a few actual starships.

The path opened up to a much, much larger area. This was in fact the space port. Some ships were coming in to land while others were already docked or leaving.

"Oh wow..." was all Alaric could really say as he looked around.

"Wow!" said Lottie in awe of the spacecraft docking in and out of the port. There was nothing quite like it from her own world.

To compare these ships to the more familiar wooden vessels would do little justice to describe them. Some were elegant, the pinnacle of luxury while other blocky and utilitarian in appearance. Lottie could only imagine the function of each ship design based on cultural aesthetics and purpose. There was moment that Lottie grabbed her grimoire but as she was about to bring her pen to the page she stops, looks around, then puts the book away as she realizes that there was no way she could ever capture what she is seeing on some page. No this was moment that she had to live through, with only memories to take.

"And to think there is no magic making these ships fly... gosh do you know how hard it would be trying to explain flying ships that sail without the winds of magic to keep them aloft?" mused Lottie, looking at ships with wonder before finding a nearby set of benches to sit upon. "Ships that sail the against the night sky... sort makes me feel... small. How does it make you feel Alaric?"
