It was cold. The air felt sharp as he breathed it in. Inhale, exhale. It burned like it was on fire. Jeong shivered as he walked off the pier. Why had they gotten there so late? He had just arrived on the island, and he now had to trek through the unknown territory in the hopes of finding his house. He stopped his trot to check his phone. The light almost blinded him. 2:03AM. Jeong hadn't slept since he had boarded the boat, which was obvious by his already cranky attitude. He thrust his phone back into his pocket, lifting up his bags for his journey.
Thankfully, most of the streets were lit up. The activity in the downtown city area was enough to know that it wasn't a ghost island; though the possibility of ghosts on the island was very high. He had to rely on the knowledge that the captain of the boat had given him, as well as the little to no information he had about what his house looked like. Oh boy was this going to be a long night. He almost wished that he would have just stayed on the beach and slept there for the night, with his comfort blankie and special azure pillow. He was glad that no one else would ever have to see that side of him.
4:32AM. Finally, through many dead ends and vast amounts of confusion, he had stumbled upon the housing district. It was perfect timing too, considering that Jeong felt like he was going to pass out. Now he just needed to find his own house, one that had been labeled as 'Two story, maple brown paint finish, black front door'. It wasn't a lot to go off of, but after a few minutes of looking, he found it. "Fucking finally." He echoed to himself, wobbling a bit in his step as he shuffled onward to it.
No. He wanted to scream, that two letter word as he noticed someone waiting for him, on his porch. Not now, not right now. He thought to himself as his physical and mental tiredness was getting to him. He didn't want to deal with anyone right now, even if this person offered him ten million dollars, sleep was way more important right now. Jeong continued on until it was enviable to have to talk to this person. "Go away." He gestured his hand in a sweeping motion. "I'm tired." He grunted at the words as he kicked the end of the person's foot, not being able to see their face yet.
