Too happy to be the newbie

As Kiyana arrived to the school, she was surprised as to how big the school was. "Wow." She said quietly, looking around, before focusing on the door to the school. This was a big day for her. A new chapter in her wonderful life. Cautiously, she re-positioned her bags and headed for the door. As she entered, she was then hit by the feeling of warm, controlled air. It felt nice to her, so she continued, to ultimately reach the administration desk so that she could sign in.

Smiling and saying hello to the person that then gave her papers, she sat down in a chair that was to the right of the lady. There were a few forms, and some made more sense then others, but in no time they were finished. She sighed happily and placed them loudly on the desk, popping up from the chair, moving her legs a bit. She waited for a few seconds, looking around at everything that this place had to offer. This was going to be good, it had to be. This place was perfect for her, for her powers.

When the lady was done looking over all the papers, and finding her room key, she spinned around tho face the girl and took the key she had placed on the desk. "Thank you!" Kiyana smiled and then lifted up her bags to move out of the way for anyone else who was coming. Would she just aimlessly try to find her room? That did seem like her, wanting to look at different things and explore before doing what needed to be done.

As she began to walk, she stopped and changed her mind. Kiyana was going to look at the map, to find out where she was sleeping, and where she would be living. A thought crossed her mind in that second after. Who would be her roommate? Would she even have one right off the bat? Or would it take a while? All of these questions were racing through her mind, but she had answers to none of them. 'Just forget about it.' She said in her mind.

She needed her mind to shut up for a while so that she could figure out where she needed to go without it having to take 5 hours. As Kiyana found the map on a wall, she looked over it and studied it. 'Alright, now where to I begin?' She thought as a small smile crossed her face.

She smiled as she saw someone else, but it was a guy, which she would be awkward around. She wasn't used to them, how they behave, or how they act. It was like a new experience for her. So she just smiled a bit as he got closer, hearing what she had said beforehand. "Yeah, I'm really new here." She laughed a bit.

"Really new." She adding trying not to sound weird, which really just made her sound weirder. "I'm actually really hungry, but it's not like I'd know where to go." Kiyana laughed a bit and looked at the man. He had an odd look to him, and Kiyana couldn't figure out what it was. "I'm guessing that you're not an expert either though?" She asked, tilting her head a bit to the side.

Kiyana coughed a bit and looked back at her map, waiting for him to answer. 'Well this is awkward.' She thought to herself, looking every few seconds to see what he was doing. She heard a sound, a female voice coming from his direction. She shot her eyes in his direction to see what it was, but then calmed herself. "What was that?" She turned and stared at him. "I mean if you even want to share that is."

Kiyana smiled at the guy. Were guys not all that different form girls? It still felt weird to talk to one, as the last boy she had talked to was her dad. "Oh." She said causally. "Sounds super fun." She said that because she had no idea as to what he was talking about. Kiyana had never really been a school person, not did she care about the subjects. She put her hand on her hip and smiled a bit, trying to look cool.

She tripped on the air a bit though, and that caused her to loose her balance a bit. Kiyana caught herself before she was able to do any damage. "Uh yeah food sounds good, though I would kind of like to get rid of all of these bags that are weighing me down."She then pointed to the bags that were close to her.

"I wouldn't want to carry these around while we look around." Kiyana blushed a bit. 'Why did you just say that? Stupid!' Kiyana shook her head a bit and smiled nervously. "I mean if you even want to walk with me that is. We could uh, find out where are rooms are and then yeah." She pushed her hair back on the right side of her face and then looked at him.

Kiyana looked strangely to herself, and made a sniffing noise at the guy in front of her. "I'm not sure about that...." She sighed and looked down at her bags. "How, how about I just drop my things off really quickly, and then we can go out and do things?" She said with a smile on her face. "It's Kiyana. Yourself?"
