((ooc: I'm not good at titles XD sorry.))

———————————-

Adelina walked up the dusty, somewhat old, stone stairs that led up to the roof, eyes turned down and hands in the pockets of her black pants. She sighed inwardly, still kind of bored. That was the only reason she had actually agreed to come up here; because of her boredom. And that was the reason she had gone to the computer lab... the things she did because she had nothing else to do. But, anyway, she hadn't been up here yet. She had to come here eventually, even if she didn't like people and she came up with another person.

She opened the door that led to the top of the school, stepping out and off of the steps. She left the door open, and looked up at the sky for a moment before turning her eyes to the ground. Long way down... ha... she thought to herself. But of course it would be... This school is huge... She shrugged, then looked at Raphael. She was silent, not feeling like being the first one to say something.

Raphael's eyes turned towards her for a moment as he sat down. His eyes peered upon his long time friends within the sky. Each one of them so bright...so unchanging.

"Look at them all. So bright...like a blanket in the sky. Each one of them so great...magnificient. I...I am sorry if you are...bored. It probably looks...fantastico at Christmas time. The snow upon...the trees and the white filling everything. It must be...beautiful up here. I don't know...if you are into that..." He looked down and paused, and then stared up at the sky. "In Ecuador, the sky used to be filled with the stars, and I would play my guitarra...it was...peaceful." He laughed some as he looked at the moon. "Where does this joy come from?"

She watched as he sat down, but remained standing, looking away and back up. She shrugged when he mentioned her being bored, but said nothing. She kind of was, since stars in the sky didn't really amaze her. This was more of something that her little sister would like, not her. But, it didn't matter; she had said she would come, and since she had just gotten here, it wasn't like she was just going to leave. She smiled on the inside when he mentioned the way it might look at Christmas, and kind of agreed with him, but shrugged her shoulders again instead of nodding or saying anything. It probably would look better with snow everywhere, but she still wouldn't think it was amazing or anything, most likely.

"In Ecuador, the sky used to be filled with the stars, and I would play my guitarra...it was...peaceful."

She turned to him. She was guessing that a 'guitarra' was a guitar, although she wasn't sure. "You play guitar?" she asked quietly, just wanting to make sure she knew what he was talking about.

"Where does this joy come from?"

She didn't know if he was just asking in general or if he was asking her specifically, but she shrugged once again as an answer. "Ha, I have no idea..." she mumbled. That wasn't much of an answer, but whatever. It would have to work for now.

"Yes...I play..guitar. What would make you happy right now? You seem so...depressed...saddened by something...or someone." The smell of the night air of fresh in him. "I only wish to help...after all...what are peers...for?

His hands were cupped in the back of his head as he looked up at the sky, his jacket keeping him warm. The night was always something he loved.

"I guess...I guess...happiness comes from others and not ones...self." He sighed, looking at the stars. She was beginning to make him nervous...standing and all.

".... What would make you happy right now? You seem so...depressed...saddened by something...or someone.... I only wish to help...after all...what are peers...for?"

Adelina looked away from him. She bit the inside of her lip, feeling a bit angry that he had mentioned that she looked depressed. And what made it worse, was that he wanted to help. She didn't like to accept others help, and besides, she didn't think she was depressed at the moment. Just bored out of her mind, was all. She looked back at him. "I don't need any help..." she mumbled, voice and face calm, an eyebrow slightly raised. "Thanks for offering, but I don't think I'm sad at the moment... and if I was, I could handle everything myself..." She looked away from him again, sighing.

She looked back at him when he spoke, an eyebrow raising slightly again. She hadn't quite understood what he meant when he said that. "What do you mean?" she asked. She was still standing, unable to tell that she was making him nervous.

"Others give one...happiness, not ones self. It just...can't be obtained by ones self. I...don't know how to explain it." After some pause he stood up, feeling drowsy from the long day. He was going to have to report to the dorms. It seemed today wasn't a good day, but then again, it wasn't a bad day either.

Raphael sniffed the night air, soothing his clogged nose. The air outside was...great, but now it was time to say goodbye to his long time friend.

"I am sorry, but...I must be going. I have to...go to my dorm. Have a good night, Adelina. I hope to see you soon. His boots clicked upon the tower steps as he gradually went down the stairs.

Adelina nodded somewhat at his explanation. She kind of understood now, but not completely. She didn't bother asking again, though, and remained silent. She watched in a bit of confusion as he stood up, but remained silent. She nodded her head somewhat when he said that he was going to go. She didn't say anything, and watched as he went down the tower steps. "Bye," she said, before turning her attention back to the sky and the ground. She was going to stay out here for just a little bit longer, just a few minutes at most.

babs climbed the stairs and came to the roof in hope to find some alone time only to run into raphael but didn't say anything and just passed him ont the roof. she walks a bit further and looked at Adelina. Though she was not the social type she also wasent willing to watch someone jump of the roof. she walks towards her hands in her pockets and stands behind her "loner to?"" it was more of a statement than a qeustion
