To The Past And Back Again

Nodding he'd ficus again and the results this time were odd. It seemed to work for a second, time would stop but then it'd immediately start to stop, pause and stop again, as if his powers were glitching. Time soon returned to the normal flow and Lucan narrowed his eyes, "well, that was bloody weird."

He'd turn back to her, "so, mine probably works a little different than yours," he'd say, scratching his cheek. "But do you have any pointers," manipulating time was definitely new to him, it an incredible power, one he saw many uses in.

"There's the invisible, eye, muscle thing....what about the heartbeat?" he'd ask, "you said yours sometimes activates when excited?" His time stop didn't work like that, but he didn't know it yet.

He'd hum in thought as she gave suggestions, it made sense, focusing on that feeling. "Yeah that makes sense," he'd hum in thought again and focus on it again.

Time would freeze, it'd last a bit longer than last time, with time resuming it's normal flow shortly after. "It lasted a bit longer this time," he'd say with an exciting and proud grin, "you were right."

He'd chuckle, "I'm getting there," the power seemed so useful and fun, already he had his usual mischievous smirk as the ideas ran through his mind.

He'd raise an eyebrow at her smirking, "got something hidden up your sleeves?" he'd ask with a chickle. "Planning something secret?" he'd lean his face into her hand a little, "keeping secrets from your strong suitor, naughty girl," he'd tease her just a bit.

Lucan looked back to the crowd, activating his power he got interesting results. It seemed to freeze, then it sorta skipped around in speed a bit, with everyone moving slowly freezing, moving slowly and then time moving at normal speed again.

"What's your plan?" he'd ask with a grin, "gonna let me in on your sectet?" He didn't mind her keeping it secret, but he'd still tease her a bit over it for now.

Lucan would smirk when she moved in to where their noses touched. "Trying to dominate are we?" he'd whisper witch a chuckle, "that is....quite attractive actually." Their closeness and whispering got them a few glances from the people around them, they were acting odd by their standards after all.

"Yup, almost got it...it's harder than I expected," he'd yet to truly stop the flow of time, he'd been able to merely reach out and touch it which was a little frustrating but it was progress.

Then he noticed Elisa was gone, he'd blink I'm surprise and glance around, he somehow could sense that she'd used a TimeStop to slip away. Humming in thought he'd start searching for her, all the while trying to use his own time stop ability which only got him weird temporary glitches in the flow of things again. So he'd keep poking hid head into the side rooms, hoping to find her.

He'd chuckle and step over to her, "trying to impress me are we?" he'd take her hand and give it a gentle squeeze, "well, I am mildly impressed, it's actually really cool." He'd flash a playful smirk, "just remember which of us can actually jump through to different time periods."

Lucan would hum a bit, glancing at the passing people, "still can't seem to get anything more than just weird half pauses, can't seem to get it fully there." It was a bit annoying, that said he had a great teacher so he was sure he'd get it.

"Maybe I'm over thinking it?" he'd ask, looking over at her, "though...you probably think I don't think enough," he'd say teasingly with a smile. "Time magic seems really strange, pausing it seems simple but somehow still complicated."
