He'd adjust his clothing and make sure he had the mask in his pocket, yes everything was ready. Lucan had chosen their destination carefully, had even gone as far as to have a copy of the invitations used made.

The half demon grinned when Elisa appeared, wearing a period accurate dress, "you look amazing love." Technically the clothes weren't completely accurate, they looked it, but had modifications to make them easier to wear, "you ready?"

Once everything was set he'd offer her his arm, once she'd taken it, they'd time jump. Instead of it feeling like they were moving however, it instead seemed like everything around them was moving instead. Everything fading out and being replaced with building and lamps and roads, all of the 1800s London.

Everything seemed to go still as the last pieces fell into place and then it all started up. They could hear the hustle and bustle of the city, carriages passing them, people going about their evening business. Already the pair could hear the sounds of the ball down the road, they'd arrived.

"Bloody hell....here we are," he'd flash a grin at her, "I've been to this street back in present actually...or at least few before...anyways, things have actually changed less than you'd think."

A pair of men walked past them, one with a mustache and cane, speaking to his companion who wore and odd hat and smoked a pipe. Lucan squinted at the pair for a second, thinking for a moment he recognized them from somewhere but quickly turned back to Elisa.

"Let's go love," he'd say with a grin and started to lead her down the street toward the ball, they had quite the evening ahead of them.

The trip began in her room, and she was glad, as she didn't think she could walk outside the dorms in her dress without getting attention. She found it beautiful, and when she saw Lucan, she did a twirl, presenting her entire dress to him.

"Thank you, Lucan," She said, moving in to kiss him. "That's the most you can get right now, Public displays of affection aren't really allowed in that age, especially where we were going." Elisa laughed. Lucan had to reign himself in for a few hours.

Taking his arm as if offered to dance, the two appeared in the old street, and no one looked that surprised. It was like they weren't even there.

Lucan was a bit distracted, so Elisa took the chance to look around. They were really back three hundred years. H.G Wells be damned.

There was someone that looked familiar, and when she recognised them, she laughed. it was one of the Teachers at SA. They had to be immortal after all.

[Timestop]
Freezing time, she knew she had to do something. Walking up to Lucan, she tapped him on the shoulder. "This is Private, so it's okay."
She then kissed him, free of spectators. They remained for a while before she pulled away.
[Timestop End]

"Let's go" Elisa grinned, looping her arm around his, and let him lead her. "I'm the Girl, so you're In charge here, oh, and what was our story again?"

"So you're saying I'm not in charge back home?" he'd ask, teasing a little, flashing a smirk and chuckling. "And we don't need one, it's a masquerade ball love, half the backtories you'll hear tonight are lies or half truths," he'd lead her down the street, the large banquet hall quickly coming into view.

"Mask hon," he'd pull his own simple mask and put it on, also pulling out their invitation, "let's see how well we fit in here." At the door he'd hand over the invitation, the door-man would look at it, return it and give a quick bow before opening the door and allowing them to enter.

Inside they'd find a large ball room, people already dancing and talking among themselves, eating at the various tables. While he had enjoyed the one on the island this one easily put it to shame. "To think," he'd whisper to her, "they've set this all up without magic."

He'd continue to lead her through the hall, quickly finding a food table covered in fruit, he wasn't sure if they'd like the food so fruit seemed a good bet. "What do you think?" he'd ask her with a smile.

"You know what I meant," She laughed, smirking back at him. He did have a point about the backstories. She could very well call herself a scholar and be done. "I guess you're a Duke's son, and I'm your Lovely Bride?" she said, taking care that her sly bump didn't damage her dress.

At Lucan's request, she'd pull down her mask, and she also made sure her wig was in place. She wanted longer hair in her female form, but it would take too long to grow. instead, this wig brought her hair down to her waist and was decorated with lots of subtle curls.

Keeping close to him, she put his hand on her waist, so that any other male dancers would know she's unavailable. She'd be closer, but already she was wary of the other dancer's stares.

Nudging him, she whispered. "Most fruits were a decoration in this time, don't eat the furniture, hun." She picked up a grape in her gloved hand. "This is fine," Elisa said nonchalantly, before putting it in his mouth.

He'd chuckle, looking over the fruit, they'd need to be careful with what they ate then. "You look beautiful by the way," he'd whisper to her, he loved giving affection, so holding back on that was a little difficult for him, "out-shinning everyone here."

The rest of the partygoers would go about their evening, dancing, eating and chatting with one another. Lucan was feeling a bit out of place, this wasn't the kind of party he was used to by any means. He was used to louder parties where the girls wore less clothes.

"Oh," he'd look to her, "think it's a good chance for me to practice my time stop power?" He'd hum in thought, "can't change the past so anything we do will be undone," he was happy he had her to help teach him time stop.

She chuckled, Elisa didn't need her sense to know Lucan wanted to kiss her. "Surprised you haven't realised it, yet."

Looking at the crowd, she knew this wasn't where he would usually be. Between the old english and the atmosphere, the young perverted halfdemon would feel unwelcome.

Thus, when he suggested learning to use his new power, she grinned. "I don't often say it, but since we can't change time, cause a small bit of havoc."

[Timestop]
She paused time, and pulled him into a kiss, wrapping her arms around him. "expecting you to do that for a while now."

He'd blink in surprise, wrapping his arms around her and returning the kiss, chuckling as it came to an end. "Can't help it, not being able to kiss my gorgeous girlfriend is truly, torturous," he'd chuckle again and steal another kiss.

Lucan would glance around at everything, looking curiously as how everyone, everything was frozen in place. "It seems so useful," he'd gently poke her cheek, "just hitting pause and doing whatever you want."

"Soooooo...," he'd flash a grin, "tell me how?" he could already imagine the uses he could find for such a power.

"Not exactly anything I want, Lucan." Elisa shook her head. It was an amazing ability, but if she didn't teach Lucan who to properly use it, he could cause a lot of trouble for himself and others. "My Main rule, Lucan, is that you can only do a single action during a timestop. Throw a Ball, move over to the wall, anything, but just one thing. Once you press play, it all happens at the same time. People could get hurt."

She knew he had the ability to stop time since her ability didn't seem to affect him, it meant he would have the same control as her. "Sometimes it happens when my heartbeat speeds up." Looking at him, she nodded. "Yes, it happened a few times when we were having sex. But anyway, my other thing is flexing a muscle. Right about here." She poked his forehead, slightly above the eyebrows. "Imagine an eye there. Try opening it when I take us out."

Before she ended the Timestop, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

[End Timestop]

"So, yeah. Try it sometime." She nodded, and her hand went up to fix her mask, and she giggled to herself at the lipstick she just realised she left on his cheek.

Lucan listened as she explained things, the rules she was putting forward, which being told rules on how to use his power mildly annoyed him, but he remained silent. He'd snicker when she admitted to having stopped time a few times during sex, "sure you can't read minds, I was just about to ask that."

He'd let her finish, humming in thought as the timestop came to an end, raising an eyebrow at the giggle. "Your laugh is adorable," he'd say quietly to her, now that time was moving like normal.

Looking at the crowd, trying to flex that invisible, open that invisible eye. It worked, though very briefly, a flicker of a moment when everything stood still, where time had frozen. "I....I think I almost did it," he'd say, his eyes excited and curious.
