Allen rolled his eyes. "Like I would ever really do that," he said. He didn't find it as entirely comical as she had, unfortunately. Skipping around with little flower petals was for the naive, for the younger people of the world. "Honestly. And trust me, I won't be going to the nuthouse anytime soon. Maybe in another thousand years, but for now, I've still got my mind."

Odette snorted. I should hope not! You're the first normal person I've met around here." By 'normal' she meant: "not nice and happy." "I should hope so. You don't really seem insane." She replied.

"Oh, well thanks then?" Allen questioned. Wow, he was normal. That was wrong. He was anything but normal. If he was normal, he would have been dead by now. He was glad he didn't seem insane, though, since he wouldn't have been able to take seeming like he was out of his mind.

"You're welcome, I guess." Odette said. Wow. They were actually having a somewhat civilized conversation. One without fighting. It almost didn't seem possible.

"Sure." Odette said, but she didn't make any move to pick it up. She thought for a second. She really wanted to go to the Sadie Hawkins dance and make fun of all the stupid little people. She tilted her head slightly. "Take me to the Sadie Hawkins dance." She told Allan.

Allen blinked when she didn't give him the guitar. He sighed once again, and was about to go pick it up himself when she asked him that question. No, wait, she hadn't even asked — she had told him to take her! Eyes narrowed in anger. "You're rather demanding," he said. "I'm not taking you. I'm NOT one for dances. I don't even know your name."

"Yes, I am demanding. Do you have a problem with that?" Odette retorted. She wasn't about to go by herself, but she really wanted to. Though she'd never admit it, she kind of liked that sort of thing. "My name is Odette. There, now you know my name. Take me."

"Yes, in fact, I DO have a problem with that!" Allen responded. Women were so demanding. 'Do this', 'do that', 'don't forget to do this'... couldn't they ever stop their nagging? It was better than her being polite, though... if she had said please he would have officially been creeped out.

Wow. She wasn't going to give up, was she? "But you don't know MY name!" he said, trying to think of more excuses. "And besides, why should I take you? You hurt that poor guitar!"

"Why?" Odette asked. Okay, so most people didn't like being bossed around, probably not him especially. But she didn't care.

"Tell me your name." She told him. "I'll have it fixed." She said.
