Time Out from Campaigning

With a small sigh escaping his mouth and a pout adorning his soft face, Eurys was not entirely in the best mood as he entered the coffee shop that day. Much like any other day, he was bored. Very bored. Boredom never ended well for the young fae prince, so he tried to avoid it as best as possible. Today this consisted of entering the coffee shop and seeing what entertainment there was to be had around the place. After ordering his drink, he turned face and took a sweeping look of the place, taking in all the sights, sounds and smells that accompanied the setting of a coffee shop.

Bored as he was, this was quite a calming place to be after a long period of studying. Sipping his drink and taking a seat by the window, he surveyed the place with his watchful eye, drinking in the atmosphere of the place. It certainly did feel good to relax from time to time. That was when someone caught his eye - A girl sitting on a nearby couch. It was initially her appearancr that drew his attention. Red hair was quite the beauty in his opinion, especially paired with those striking eyes. However, something about her in particular seemed familiar to him.

Unable to place this sensation, it spurred the impulsive decision to get up and ask her about it. No matter what reaction he got, talking to someone would be interesting. As such, he stood to his feet, stretched out his arms with his drink above his head, then sauntered casually over to the couch where she was sitting, a small smile adorning his face.

"You seem familiar to me, my lady. Can I ask where I might have seen you before?"

For a moment longer Eurys merely stood and observed her face, trying his best to place her in any of the locations shed suggested. Had they conversed before, even minorly? Had they shared a class, been in any form of event together? Unfortunately, though, it was to no avail. As such, he merely collapsed into a nearby seat and shrugged his shoulders.

"Ah, well. Perhaps I'm confusing you for someone else. My apologies."

However, he didn't have any intention of ending their conversation there. He was in desperate need of some new interaction, and this seemed like a perfect opportunity to get to know someone he'd never met before. A bit of an ambivert, some days he was in the mood for people while other days he wasn't, and today seemed to be the former. A part of him wondered if he would be found creepy, but he shrugged it off, thinking he'd merely watch for any signs of the other party being uncomfortable.

"Either way, however, it is nice to meet you. I'm Eurys. Have you been up to anything interesting?"

"Student Council President?"

Eurys' eyes widened at this statement, and a small smile spread over his face. He'd entirely forgotten about the elections happening as of late, and as someone invested in business and similar topics, it interested him highly. He'd not yet had the pleasure of meeting with any one of the candidates running, so this wa quite a pleasure to him.

"That's extremely interesting. Were you discussing campaign tactics, then, or something else similar? Any specific plans?"

He vaguely wondered if he was allowed to be of any help if he could, but decided to press that aside for now. For the time being he would just listen, and take in what it was like to be running for the student council.

"One last rally, eh? I certainly wish you luck, that sounds like it could be quite stressful under the circumstances."

A soft chuckle escaped Eurys as he thought about the concept of school elections. It was all extremely new to him, since he had necer exactly been to a public school before arriving at Manta Carlos. However, reminiscing on his own kingdom brought a darkness to his eyes and a stiffness to his demeanor. There was an extremely bitter sort of nostalgia there, even though his tone remained lighthearted as he spoke once more.

"All of this about the school elections is quite interesting to me. I've never had the opportunity to see such a thing, much less be apart of it. I was schooled by private tutors my whole life. Tell me, is this your first time being apart of an election like this?"

Eurys smiled at the girl, personally finding her endeavors very admirable. "I think that's a worthy pursuit in itself. We need more people in the world who really are willing to go out and make a difference, and this is no exception. Even if you do only win vice or treasurer, you'll be in a position to influence those in power and help make your ideas heard."

He took a final sip of his coffee to finish it up, and set it down on the table in front of him. "I admire your willingness to get involved in all of this. Do you have any idea what you'll do if you do manage to win?"
