Aeron had arrived on Manta Carlos no more than an hour ago. It was his first time on a boat - he hated it. It was his first time out of the forest he grew up in, actually. The island was like a whole different world, more so for him than most people who arrived here. For the past seven years of his life, he had survived on what he could find by hunting and scavenging but it seemed that everyone else had machines that did the work for them. He once lived in a home, but even then, that was in the forest with no machines to do their bidding.

Fenrir stalked along side him, watching people as they walked past. The large warg was the only company Aeron had for most of his life and the sight of all these people in one place at once kind of scared the elf. He made sure to keep close to Fenrir, his bow hanging over his shoulder and his small dagger tucked into his torn grey pants.

Alex Maranova was storming through a crowd of people, quite literally. Above her head was a group of small grey clouds with lightning zapping between them all and the scene was mimicked in her eyes. Why she'd agreed to come to this island was beyond her. Perhaps she had thought that it would be better than being in care, less idiots around and maybe people with some similar powers. Sadly, it seemed to Alex that all people were the same, including the older girl that had laughed at her in the hall today and mocked her appearance. Now, Alex was in the mood to punch something. She had actually decided to settle for practicing using her powers on some creatures in the forbidden forest but before she got there she found her path blocked by an small boy and a much larger wolf creature. Alex stopped, the lightning ceasing for a minute, to address the boy. "That," she said, gesturing at the warg, "is pretty fucking cool."

Aeron jumped when a girl spoke to him. Her hair was a bright turquoise, as was her eyes - her pupilless eyes. There was something else strange about her: grey clouds swarmed above her head. He wasn't completely sure what she was saying but he guessed it was a compliment.

They both stopped as he turned to Fenrir and petted his side. "Thank you..." he said, though not sure what he was thanking her for. "This is Fenrir." His other hand moved behind him, just above the hilt of his dagger, just in case. He hadn't ever met people other than his parents, he didn't know what they were like and this girl had an angry feeling about her. Fenrir bowed his head to the girl, keeping his golden eyes fixed on her. "And I am Aeron Nightwing," he introduced.

After a short pause she simply replied "Alex Maranova." She did consider bowing back for a moment but decided it was probably unnecessary, if pretty fancy. "So where'd you get the big wolf guy? Most people don't have such extravagant pets. Also, I'm gonna assume you've just got here from the state of your clothes, they're all torn, and where the heck are your shoes?" Without her noticing the clouds above Alex had all slowly floated away and her eyes had cleared. She couldn't deny that she enjoyed talking to other people when they were as dramatic seeming as this guy. Also, he seemed fairly lost and she figured it might clear her head to show someone around, though she didn't see herself making friends anytime soon. It was just something to do.

Aeron bowed his head as she told him her name, still transfixed by the clouds above her. Maybe she was some sort of weather witch like from the stories his father had told him. If that were so, he had to be wary of her.
"Fenrir has been my friend for many years. We found eachother in the forest." He didn't like the term 'pet' much and neither did Fenrir.
Did she just call me a pet? Fenrir asked telepathically.
He replied, I'm sure she did not mean anything by it.

Looking down at his clothes and back at hers, he got the impression that he might need some new clothes. "I arrived not one hour ago and I do not have a need for shoes," he explained. The soles of his feet were hard and protected them as much as any footwear would

Alex gave him a look, squinting slightly. "Okay wolf boy you might not want shoes but you sure need some clothes that aren't torn to pieces or you're gonna get some even weirder looks than Fenrir and no shoes are already gonna get you."
Looking around him expectantly, she tried to spot the luggage he surely must have brought to the island. Then again, if he looked this unkempt she supposed it was unlikely he had anything in the way of possessions to bring with him. "Right," she suddenly and loudly announced, clapping her hands together "I'm taking you to get a dorm and then we're getting you some new clothes."
With that, she started to walk in the direction of the dorms, pushing through the crowds slightly and expecting Aeron and Fenrir to follow her.

He presumed that a 'dorm' was some kind of living quarters. If that were so, he did not really want to go; he had not lived in anywhere but makeshift shelters in caves and the thicket in years, it was where he felt more at home. Both Fenrir and Aeron looked to each other before following the girl. He had no idea where he was going so it would be best to let her show him where to go. Meandering through the crowd of people was easier when you had a six foot warg by your side, people parting to let you through. Fenrir gave a low growl to any wanderer that got too close.

Suddenly, Alex stopped and turned around. "Actually, we should probably get you some new clothes first. You're getting some really weird looks. Plus I'm not entirely sure if this place runs on a no shoes, no shirt - Well, torn shirt - no dorm sort of policy. I don't know I've really not been here long." She paused from her rambling to look Aeron over again "I'm going to assume you don't have any money so it's a good thing I do so we'll have to go get that first. Come on, lets get you some clothes."

Alex continued walking towards the dorms, but now towards her own. Throughout all of this she had given Aeron no chance to speak or protest. He was going to get new clothes whether he liked it or not. It'd be useful to have a friend with a pet that powerful. With what Alex was planning to get up to here, it would be likely she might one day need that sort of help.

Upon reaching it she turned to address Aeron again, "wait there. I don't want dog hair all over my shit." A few moments later she returned with a purse full of money. "Right, now we go to the town." Again, she took the lead, weaving through people and taking little shortcuts through the backstreets she had already managed to find, even in the short time she had been here.

Finally, Alex stopped outside a clothes shop that sold everything from hoodies to suit jackets. "Here we go. You can pick whatever you like from there. You need it."

Aeron just stopped and stared as the wall of words came his way. He didn't pay much attention to Alex's rambling, just looking on as she spoke. She talks a lot, he telepathized to Fenrir. After no human interaction for years, this girl was a lot to handle. Not really knowing what she was babbling on about, Aeron followed her, the warg padding along beside him.

The only building he remembered being in was his shabby hut and there was definitely no building like that to be seen. The academy itself looked like a castle he had only seen in books his father would read to him. He had never seen a place so extravagent. Preoccupied by his surroundings, he didn't even notice Alex had gone until she came back and began to walk off again.

Aeron followed her through the jungle of buildings that stood sentinal in rows, Fenrir stopping every now and then to take in the new smells around him. After arriving at the shop, Aeron turned to Fenrir and place a hand on his chest. It is probably best if you wait here, he suggested. Taking Aeron's advice, the warg huffed and lay down near the door.

He didn't really know what he was looking for. He had worn the same tatty rags for years but now there was so much choice. Looking around at all that was on offer, he pulled a grey t-shirt off of a hanger and, after taking his own top off and hanging it in the place of the new top, put it on. It was way too big for him, coming down to his knees, yet he tucked it in and began to walk off around the store.

Alex followed Aeron into the store, patting Fenrir on the head on the way past. She walked into the store just in time to witness what was possibly the most amusing thing she had seen since arriving here. Almost unable to believe what she was seeing, Alex burst out laughing. "Oh my god, you really don't know how society works, do you?"

Quickly she reclaimed Aeron's shirt, glaring back at the shopkeeper that was giving both of them a dirty look. "Aeron, you don't just... get changed in the middle of the store. They don't want your torn, old clothes and you've gotta pay for new ones. Also, that really doesn't fit you at all." Alex walked up to him and pulled on the collar of the t-shirt to see the label. Large. Shaking her head, laughing again, she went back to where he'd gotten it from and pulled out an extra small. "Here, go into that little room back there and see if these fit instead," she instructed, also picking up a pair of equally small jeans and handing those to him as well.

She gently shoved him in the direction of the changing rooms and shot another glare at the shop keeper to stop him from saying anything. Leaning back against a wall, Alex waited for him to come out again.
