Ariana wouldn't tell him what she meant by those words. It was too personal. He didn't need to know that she had been a slave for almost one hundred years. He probably had never had anyone tell him what to do, and force him to do things.

She sighed and moved out of his grip to sit down. She was terribly tired at the moment. Not getting two nights of sleep as a fairy was fine, but now that she was a human, she was tired beyond belief.

It seemed that the girl would refuse to tell anything personal, which Cade didn't mind. He was the same way. He was always one to keep things to himself. He noticed her releasing herself from his grip and taking a seat. It was clear to see that she was exhausted. Cade felt like he needed to do something about it, but would he be able to? "You need rest."

Ariana glanced up at him with a dry look. "Thank you for informing me of that fact. I shall get some rest as soon as I can." But that wouldn't be for at least a few more hours. She wanted to bask in the fact that she was human, and deffinately more taller now.

Cade slowly approached the fatigued Ariana and got down on one knee to reach her eye level. He just wanted to help, any way he can. "If you're going to get some rest, I suggest you get it now. Besides, its getting quite late. I can help you get down from here, if you want."

Ariana frowned slightly. Obviously, he hadn't realized she had been slightly sarcastic when she spoke. Sighing, she shrugged. "I'd appriciate the help down from here, but I'd much rather stay up for a few more hours and then get sleep later." She decided to xplain why so he wouldn't have to ask. "As I've said, this is only my seond time as a human, and I'd like to spend the hours I have as one awake. Because, you see, I can only stay human for a few hours that I'm aware of. Then I goback to being a fairy."

Cade listened and nodded. It was what she wanted. He couldn't do anything about it. What she didn't know was, he had wings as well, and he was about to show them off. "Hey. I'l fill you in on a little something." Just as he said this, he closed his eyes and focused his energy. A few seconds later, two black feathered wings appeared on Cade's back. "You're not the only one with wings around here." he said with a smile.

Ariana's eyes widened and she gasped in surprise. She smiled. "Awww! That's cool!" She reached out and touched them, then while still holding his wing, gazed at her arm. "It's so long..." She didn't realize she had said that outloud.

Cade noticed her facial expression; she was amazed by his wings. Cade just stood there doing nothing as she felt them. Sure they are long, and somewhat useful, at times. "Yeah...its cool...sort of."

Ariana had been saying her arm was long, but she pretended had meant his wing. She smiled and slowly withdrew her hand. "Never knew humans could have wings...."

Sure, it wasn't normal to see a human with wings, but in the Academy, it seemed that almost anything is normal, and Cade realized that. He took a seat on the edge of the roof. He shook his head. "I didn't know either, until I got these. I didn't really like them at first, but after a long time practicing my flying skills, and some inspiration from friends, I....sort of grew into them."
