Ariana flew outside in the darkness, and then fluttered up onto the roof. She sat on the edge of the building and stared out into the space. An animal howled out in the distance and the noise sent shivers through the small fairy.

Shaking her head at herself, she looked around to see if anyone else was occupying the area around her.

Standing on an adjacent side of the building not too far off from the little fairy was none other than Cade. He had flown up to the roof a few seconds after she had arrived. On the edge there he stood, sitting, gazing into the horizon, quietly contemplating about life. He looked over to see the girl there, but refused to act on anything or say anything. Instead, he sat there, doing nothing.

Ariana spotted the boy, and noted he was much larger than her three inches. Deciding to be her outgoing self, she stood up and flew over to him. She landed gently onto his left shoulder and gave a small yank on his ear. "Hello," she greeted, a smile on her face.

Cade looked over to see that the girl had just disappeared; she was flying. Because of her significantly small size, it was hard to see where she was going. Cade looked around in confusion until he felt a sudden yank in his ear. She had landed on his left shoulder. He looked over his shoulder to see her standing there while rubbing his ear. "Hi?"

She grinned. Feeling playful, she took hold of his long ponytail and began swinging back and forth on it. "You have very long hair!" She called to him. After another moment she let go of him and flew to flutter in front of his face. She held out one of her tiny hands. "I'm Ariana."

Cade rolled his eyes to follow the little girl's movements from the corner of his eye as she started to swing (?) on his long light brown ponytail. When she happily complimented the hair, a simple "Thanks?" was all that he replied. As she now floated directly in front of him and offered a handshake, he shrugged then held out a single finger, the right index one, and softly shook her hand. "I'm.....Cade."

Did he really have to think about what his name was? Or was he just pausing for effect? She wondered. Giving a mental shrug, she crossed her arms casually and went back to sitting on his shoulder. She looked up at the sky. It was a full moon, and not a cloud was out, so a person could see millions of stars this night.

"Beautiful night," She said softly, more to herself than to him.

With an estranged look on his face, Cade wondered why he was going along with what was happening right now. She sat on his shoulder again; maybe she thought it was comfortable there? He raised an eyebrow as he too looked up into the night sky. Sure it was nice. He looked over to her again with a straight face. "You comfortable there?"

Realizing he may not want her sitting on him, despite that she weighed next to nothing, Ariana blushed slightly in embarrassment. She was glad it was dark out, so he wasn't able t see her face very well. She coughed lightly, using her hand to cover her mouth. "Um...Yes. Hope you don't mind me sitting here. I'll get off if you do."

Cade didn't really seem to care if she was there or not, as long as she probably wouldn't be much of a nuisance. From the corner of his eye, he looked over to see her trying to hide herself from him. He shook his head lightly. "It's fine, though I find it unusual to see myself talking to a......what are you?"
