Yeah, this is actually my second day, come from south Texas. It's so different. Just have to get used to it I guess.
He said, sucking on his lip ring for a second. It was a habit he had for when he was nervous or unsure about something, or just in deep thought. It was obvious which one of those he was.

"Well I'm from South Louisiana originally. Right before coming here I moved to Arkansas. Do you like it here?"
That sounds awesome... I guess I do, I'm still getting used to it but it seems to be pretty cool and I haven't seen any problems yet.

Arek looked at Adelina, "So there's a dance on the 10th, huh? Who are you going with?" he looked at her hopefully.
Adelina bit her lip for a moment, thinking of just the right words to say. She didn't want to hurt Arek, or get him too hopeful. Why'd the school have to go and make a stupid dance... she thought to herself.

This is pathetic. The dance is tomorrow, and I don't even have a date yet...Skye walked into the large ballroom, thinking that it would be empty. She came here often when she was bored, just to think. She was slightly startled to see three other students. She noticed Adelina, but not the two others. "Well, hi. Mind if I join the party?" she said jokingly, and grinned.
