Doll finishes, out of breath. As she is hugged, she closes her eyes and sighs. The feeling of being held, just being held, was remarkable. His heart so close to her made her want to sleep. It was such a peaceful rhythm. of course, she didn't have one, and she felt at loss. Oh well. She could just listen to his.

She remains rigid a few moments before slowly wrapping her arms around his stomach, trying to mimic the effect. Of course, she had no heart to give him, but at least she could try. And she was happy with that.

Of course, she was happy with this. It was the first time she really had gotten angry, and she wanted to take back the words. "I'm sorry, too." she mumbles into his chest. She wished she could reach his ear. But that might ruin the moment. So she stayed where she was.

She took the moment to savor how warm he was. He smelt nice, like sun. Did sunlight have a smell? She would have to ask. But not now.

Jazariel swallowed a knot in his throat when he felt her arms wrap around him in return. In the back of his mind he wondered if she understood affection, or what embracing meant, but dispelled the thoughts. There was no point in thinking about it now. For now, he allowed himself to enjoy the feeling of her head against his chest and her arms wrapped around him.

When she apologized, he shook his head. "You didn't do anything wrong," he said. "You had a right to be upset with me. I'm a jackass." He averted his gaze and lightly stroked her hair, ignoring the fact that it wasn't real hair.

He found himself enjoying this, which scared him just a little bit. After a few more moments passed, Jazariel released her and stepped back.

"So we're okay now?"

Doll blinks. Jackass..? "O-Oh. Of course." Was he petting her hair? Yes, and she was so calmed by it. She was getting so comfortable, it made her feel very tired. Well, she was already tired, but this added to the effect.

Doll smiles. "Mhmm." she says with a nod, stepping back to find her basket. Whether she wanted it on or not, her arm was a necessity of her body. With it on, her power was draining. She finds herself tripping over her feet, and barely catching herself. "Need to charge.." she mumbles. As she nears her basket, she notes that it's getting darker outside. She sits down next to basket and quickly sows her arm on, her eyes drooping.

Jazariel watched as she stumbled to her basket, somewhat disappointed at the new distance that had been created. He looked away, taking a deep breath and trying to calm himself. He'd lost his cool, that had been out of line. Guardians weren't supposed to feel anything for the people they protected but a sense of loyalty and duty, not friendship or even slight stirrings in the heart.

He proceeded to walk over to her and her basket, taking a seat next to her on his knees. "Once you sew it back on I'll take you to wherever it is you're staying, a dorm or wherever. You should probably rest after the abuse I've inflicted upon you."

Doll, actually, was pleased at the distance she had filled. It seemed that they were closer. She bites through the thread she was using and replaces the needle back into the basket. Out of the basket she pulls a key with "147" on it. "Here.." she mumbles, standing and realizing she's shaky on her feet. She was just screaming tiredness.

"A-Abuse? Inflicted? You haven't done anything but help me, Jaz." she yawns. "Was that hugging? I've heard of it, but never done anything to find out what it is.. It was nice. We should hug more often." she says softly, rubbing her eyes.

Although the bad man who made her wanted her to be as human as possible, there were flaws. Her battery wasn't very large. She had to charge it once a day, and after it had charged, it took her six hours to reboot. This, to the man, was her form of sleep. How devious, he thought it was. To put her just on the edge of humanity.
What an evil mastermind. :plottingllama:

Jazariel snatched the key from her, tempted to drape an arm around her shoulders but refraining from doing so. They'd shared enough physical contact for the day - another time, maybe he would, if it didn't put them in any sort of danger. "Come with me," he said, beginning to walk at a slow pace, noticing how exhausted she seemed. A part of him prayed he wouldn't have to carry her again. Another part of him was hoping that she would just beg him to.

"Help you and rip your limbs off," he corrected, white eyebrows lifting. "And yes... that was hugging." He became tense at the idea of doing it more often, not saying anything in regard to it.

He looked back at her, figuring he might as well try to help her while he lead her so she wouldn't fall over. "Here," he said, holding his arm back for her and offering his hand out.

Doll shakes her head sleepily. "No no, because if you hadn't ripped my arm off, we would have never hugged." she nods sagely, and instead of grabbing Jaz's hand, she grips his arm, hugging it to her to support herself.

She follows him down the hallway towards the dorms, and hopes they get there soon. She didn't want Jaz to watch her battery die and not know what to do. She forces her eyes open water and takes a deep breath.

That was a weird way to look at it, but Jazariel was becoming used to her odd view of life. He looked down, concerned, when she grabbed onto his arm. Brown eyes filling with concern, he asked, "What's wrong?" in a soft voice.

He picked up his pace a little, if only for Doll's sake. Once at her room he unlocked the door and pushed it open, lifting Doll up into his arms and carrying her through the threshold, throwing leg back to kick the door closed. He set her down on the bed and bit his lip, ruffling her hair again.

"You don't look so good," he mumbled.

Doll shakes her head at his question, only able to focus on the steps ahead. She finds herself at a door, then lifted into the air. She hardly registers the movements, and suddenly she finds herself on a bed. This must be my dorm.. she squints around.

Then she spots what she needs, a power outlet. Aha! She leans down and slips her fingers into the holes, and an electrical current starts to flow to her chest. Her eyes droop. She tries to explain to Jaz. "I'm charging. I-I'll sleep for a bit after this." her eyes droop further.

Jazariel watched as she pushed her fingers into the outlet. Charging... like she was electrical. It made sense now. He was silent, nodding at her words. She was becoming more and more tired and could see it in her eyes and in every other part of her.

Unable to help himself, Jazariel stepped forward, leaning over her. His lips brushed against her forehead and he pushed her hair back, tucking it behind her ears. "Sleep well," he whispered in her ear, pushing away from her and standing straightly once more.

He glanced around before settling for a corner in the floor. He couldn't leave her, not now; she would need him around if she woke up and was too weak. Jazariel rested against the wall and pulled is legs up to his chest, embracing them and looking up at the ceiling.

Zukrel... what did you get me into? he asked himself, sighing deeply.
