"I never said it would be bad for you. I just want to be home with them." Kacey said, even though her parents didn't approve of her powers Kacey didn't care she just wanted to be like a normal family.
Ian would have smiled had he not been remembering his own parents. yeah, he understood what was goign on with Kacey and her parents, but in his mind, what had happened to him was a lot worse. "Well, maybe they'll grow up someday." said Ian.
"Yeah maybe." She said, "Then again maybe not..." She added, it was unlikely that her parents would change and it wasn't like she'd see them anytime soon to see if they had changed. "I don't think you have told me much about yours. Your parents I mean."
Kacey felt bad for him, there she was again whinnying about her parents. "Yeah.....I'm sorry about that...." Kacey said, "Well who needs them anyway." She added, feeling she had to cheer him up.
"No one really does.." he said with a shrug as he looked at an apple tree nearby. This was the kinda thing he wished he had a power for, but istead, he picked up a rock and threw it at the tree knowking a few apples down which rolled ver near them. Ian picked up two and held one out for her as he bit into the other one.
Kacey took the apple from him, "Thanks." She said, as she took a small bite out of the apple. After one bite she wasn't hungry anymore. Kacey yawned feeling tired. Even though it wasn't even close to night.
