The wrong paths in life

Kacey was walking. She wanted to go pick the flowers she loved. It was the ones that only grew only by the cave that she had found. When she got there, she sat down and began to pick them. Putting one back in her hair like she did before and the rest in her hand and she laid on the grass looking up to the sky. As if she had no worries in the world...

Ian was leaning up against a tree, wearing a pair of black slacks and a blue dress shirt with the front unbuttoned and a checkered shirt under it. he noticed kacey picking flowers by the cave and walked up behind her, "You mad at me?" he asked queitly.

Kacey sat up and looked at him, she was a bit surprised he was there. "I apologize for how I acted. I'm actually mad at myself now. " She said, laying back down on the ground again.

"Don't be." said Ian putting his hands in his pockets, "I understand why you were mad at youself, and why you were mad at me." he said, "You seemed like something was wrong when I mentioned the other girl." said Ian, "I just want you to know that I only meant that I thought she was nice." he said hoping it made her feel better, "I still like you." he said.

"That's a very conceded view of it. Maybe I was mad about something else. And not about you and thatgirl." Kacey said, thinking up another reason she could have been mad but couldn’t think of anything. "I’m sorry. That was mean too..."

Ian walked over to her from the tree, "It's fine." he said as he kicked a rock across the ground into a nearby bush.

"Its impossible to get you mad at me." Kacey said under her breath. Unsure of why she would want that anyway. "You know you can date whoever you want....." She said.

"I know." said Ian, "Trust me, I know, but I'm not just gonna go run out and get soem random person to date me just to make you feel bad. If I'm gonna go out with someone other than you, I'd have to really like them." he said.

"Would you stop saying stuff like that!" Kacey said frustrated, and sat back up. "You make things more complicated then they already are. Just stop it." She said with discomfort.

Ian did have a few more things to say, but he was startign to feel like evrything he was saying was a load of crap so he shut himself up and leaned back up against a nearby tree.
