Devias took notice of the apparent disappointment on her face upon his refusal. Perhaps that was the wrong thing to do. He'll have to apologize for that when he had the chance, before it could fester into some long-term resentment. Fortunately, she seemed happy that he offered to help her and took up his offer for assistance.

"I would be happy to help. Oh, and sorry if I stepped out of line when I refused your offer before. I'm not used to accepting them yet. But anyway, shall I help you with your bags as well?"

Devias nodded and didn't further his offer to take her bag, missing the fact that she had been a little defensive when he offered. He was, however, surprised that she started jumping with excitement, then suddenly going back to her shy demeanor.

Talking from experience, Devias thought that she was like her cousin in a way. A little shy at first, but really bouncy when she has eased up a little. Hopefully she wasn't as destructive. "Very well. Hmm... what kind of place would you like to go to? The downtown area has a lot of shops, there's a beach, a park, and the city itself is a fine sight as well."

She was very adamant about buying him that drink, he noticed. Well, if that was what she wanted, then Devias could oblige. He thought for a moment to recall the establishments that would classify as 'Cafes'. He remembered a couple of places at the top of his head. "Yes, there are quite a few actually. Each having their own specialty"

Devias wasn't expecting the last question. Indeed it was a little weird, but nothing he couldn't answer. "I've been placed... two years before that level if I remember the system correctly."

"Normal." As if Devias would know what counted as normal in this world. Perhaps the most common type? No, definitely one where most of the 'normies', as the inhabitants of the island calls them, go to. That was his best bet. And he knew just where one was located. "Okay, I'll take us there in a moment."

He wasn't sure why someone would be hoping that he'd be in college. Perhaps so she'll have someone she was a little bit familiar with in school? "There's only one academy here. I'm sure we'll bump into each other on campus."

After making sure that he got the right place painted in his mind, he opened a portal to the entrance of a little cafe. It' wasn't packed, so they'd have a relatively good selection of places to sit. "This way," he'd say, moving forward into the portal, as if he was simply walking through a doorway.

While Caspian picked a table for them, Devias looked to the menu above the counter, to see what they had in store. He had been to these places before, and tried what they offered, although most of the time it was Lorencia who dragged him to the shops. Still, there were a few things he hadn't had the chance to try yet.

Devias turned to the girl, a little confused. Could it be she didn't know how shops worked? He wasn't judging since when they were new to this world, they didn't know how other things went on here. Though they were lucky that the exchange of goods for currency worked similarly to their own established trading system.

"Well, you pick what you want from the menu up there," he'd say, pointing to the listing above the counter. "Then you tell the person behind the counter what you want, and then you pay the total amount of your order. Then it's either you get your order right away, they'll just call you when it's ready, or they'll bring it to your table."
