It was a completely average day in the Starlight Academy Cafeteria. The hall of tables and food was hustling and bustling of students. Everywhere you looked you could see something interesting. If you looked to the soda machine you could see a pair of harpies talking to a lizard boy. Looked near the windows you could see a creature made completely out of plants sunning itself.
And if you looked to a small table in the corner of the room, you could find a pair of goblins eating. Rum and Coke, two of the newer students on the island.
"Cmoooon bro, let me have the salt. I neeeeeed it. Don't I Sarsaparilla?" Rum paused a moment, before she nodded to herself. "See? Sarsaparilla agrees! Give it up coke."
The salt-shaker was currently embedded into the table, the glass container seemingly melted into the wooden surface.
"If I give you the saltshaker then you're just going to take it apart again Rum." Her brother said, chewing on his sandwich and flipping through a book on theater.
"No I wooo-"
"Yes you will Rum. I know you will."
The goblin girl pouted, grumbling. "But I neeed it for my noodles!"
Without saying a word, the saltshaker rose up from the table, still in the grasp of the table. The table itself shrunk slightly as the wooden arm rose up to pour a bit of salt onto Rums noodles. She pouted, narrowing her eyes at her bro.
"...I know Sarsaparilla, he is being very snarkastic right now."
"Use either Snarky or Sarcastic Rum."
"You aren't my mom! Tell him Sarsaparilla!"
Coke rolled his eyes at his sisters antics. They certainly were making a scene. It helped that there were only two other seats at the small table. Nobody wanted to sit next to them. Would someone dare to sit next to these strange goblins? Only time would tell.
