The Root of The Problem

After a rigorous skin treatment and a long hot bath, Addy had fell asleep for two days. She was currently trying to recover from being away from people and so she went to the gym. What other way to get massive amounts of attention to give her an energy boost. Of course majority of her family understood she had to recharge, that stupid fun house was a bad idea. She had a whole list of bad ideas, but none as bad as that one.

She had gotten a text from Versa while she was at the gym. She must've exchanged numbers with girl without remembering. Her last few hours were kind if blurry during tiredness but never the less she tiredly went to the coffee near her job. She was still in work clothes and while she did look as perfectly as normal she still felt a bit sluggish. Whether from her work out or her recovery she didn't know.

She scanned the shop for Versailles as she order her drink. Once finding her she sat down. "I see you made out in one piece."

She didn't want to admit it right away, but Addy was a bit worried. Toby wasn't the type of guy and girl should want to hang around, let alone be involved with. Her friend was going to get hurt, and Addy was a very protective person. She didn't want anyone she cared about getting hurt. Which is why she might've been a bit harsh at the fun house.

[BCOLOR=transparent]Versailles stared absently out the window as she waited for Addy to arrive. She knew the girl was busy so she didn't expect her to respond quite so soon. The fox-girl was glad that she had though, Addy was an intruiging character. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent][/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Versailles hadn't forgotten her half hearted promise to make a movie script for their adventure either. She was still jotting down notes for that while she waited. So far she had most of the general timeline written down, but she still needed to go through all of Toby's videos for the dialogue. With all the video he sent, there probably wasn't much of a point to scripting it. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent][/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]She should probably be mad at him for those three days. Regardless of how much he had been a creep-in-bloodstained-armour, he was still the one who had put her in danger to begin with. Versailles sighed. He was a damn good kisser though. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=transparent][/BCOLOR]

Versailles was suddenly very aware of the number of people around her and coughed to clear her head. She hadn't noticed when Addy arrived, but she waved the cat girl over after she picked up her order.

"Addy, it's good to see you. You look worried, is something wrong?"

Addy was very good at reading people, she knew when they were uncomfortable. She could tell when she bugged them but just couldn't tell her take a hike. She'd seen happen plenty of times. She knew that there was something else fueling the Toby obsession, something she was hoping Versa would snap out of.

"Me? Yes I'm fine, still recovering from the fun house. I'm wired differently than most" She didn't want to talk about her succubus like need, no she wanted to talk about Versa. She settle into her chair, tying her hair into a ponytail, her ears still managing to poke out through her hair.

"what about you? I know how er stressed you can become in certain situations " She liked Versa, she didn't have to pretend with Versa. There was no airheaded act needed, she could be herself. There were not many people she felt that way around especially not so soon. It made her all the more determined to solve this fucking problem.

" Did you get the movie stuff together? "

Versailles uncomfortably straightened the fur of her ears. She really wasn't proud of how she'd reacted to Toby and Jett's prank. Especially since she had never been in danger to begin with.

"I've been doing pretty well. You learn to bounce back quickly after a while. I did skip classes on Monday though. Teacher's weren't too impressed."

Versailles pulled a USB key out of her pocket, sliding that and her notebook across the table to Addy.

"Toby got a lot more on camera than I thought he did, but we'll need to come up with a better ending than what Jett did for the script. Otherwise, it's coming along nicely."

Addy smiled and nodded, she would never skip class, then again she was pretty resilient. Being a demon sort of kept you meh about certain things. She wasn't too proud of the angry out burst that she displayed, she was really good at keeping her cool most times.

Addy prided herself in her acting, she liked being the airhead, no one excepted much from her. She tilted her head and shook it. "Look I'll be blunt, you and Toby... I don't like it." She said crossing her arms and sitting back in her seat.

"I'm glad, maybe it'll look like an indies film. I don't wanna be stuck in sitcoms and other day time TV stuff. I'm really hoping not to be disneyed in my career" she offered Versa a kind smile, like she hadn't just told her, she disliked her boy toy.

Versailles looked at Addy a little stunned. Concerned about her and Toby? There was nothing to be concerned about.

"Addy, there's nothing between me and Toby. He's cute, he's a good kisser, but I'm not interested in any long term relationships. I doubt it'll last a week, whether I break it or he does. There's absolutely nothing to not like. There's nothing there. He's a fling, that's all."

Versailles looked back at the notebook, attempting to end that part of the conversation. She used a pen to underline a few points.

"I'm thinking I'll add a few extras to kill off, and maybe kill off Jett too. I can write it so Shay dies and you go after the clown in a murder frenzy if you'd like."

Addy stared at her not believing this one bit. She had seen countless people fall victim to such things. Stories about thinking they could fix what was never working in the first place. "Bullshit, how are you even In a fling with this guy? Versa, the red flags are there. I mean honestly"

Addy nodded "I like that idea, I really need another out from this adorable child star. I need to be diverse as possible" she allows Versa to change the topic for a split second before going back to her earlier topic.

"You aren't gonna change the topic that easily Versa"

Versailles gave a heavy sigh and leaned back in her chair, rubbing her face with her hands. Addy wasn't about to give this up. She probably had her reasons. Not that 'he's a creep' was much of a convincing argument.

"Look, Addy, you're cute but you aren't arguing this well. Red flags don't mean a whole lot when you were raised by sociopaths..."

Versailles paused, not even breathing as she thought over what she'd just said.

"Yeah. I see your point. It'd never turn out well. If you want it to end, then fine. It'll end. But I'm not going out of my way to find him and end it."

Addy folded her arms and flipped back her bangs "Pfft. Red flags mean everything. My dads won't even let me near him, MY DADS." She raised an eyebrow, like beat that. Its not that's she didn't want the older girl happy. She really did, but things tended to get sketchy when horrible people were involved.

"Give me one good reason you should stay with him? He all but admitted to being a horrible person, that he was gonna break you."

“I don’t break that easily Addy.”

Versailles’ ears twisted round, clearly displeased with the line of the conversation. There was no reason for Addy to be so upset.

“I’m an adult, and fully capable of taking care of myself as I have been for years. He isn’t the first questionable man I’ve had a fling with. If things get bad, I’ll ditch him entirely. Was this all you wanted to talk about?”

The fox girl stared at Addy, trying to express with her expressions how much she wanted to be done talking about Toby. Her tail was twitching anxiously, ears still flat against her scalp.
