Ren laughed lightly, fingers never fumbling. "Yes, well, I bet you're the champion of all harmonica players." he said honestly, albeit, a little teasing. He didn't add that he could also play the harmonica, since he didn't want to make her feel lesser. Every Texan learned to play the harmonica..That is, those who worked on Pop's ranch.

He could feel the boredom slowly slipping into his brain, and he finished his song, adjusting his position again. He was at a loss for any conversation, and he stilled the guitar, resting on it as he sifted through all of his memories, trying to figure out if there was anyone here who he could play a prank on so far.

"Yes, well, I bet you're the champion of all harmonica players."

She chuckled, "Not really, I'm more of a swordsman than a musician. I used to sing, but that's something I don't do or else it'd be like the worse thing for a swordsman to do." She said with a chuckle picturing her singing just made her not like the idea. She wasn't the type that sang or at least her appearance said that. But a part of her enjoyed singing, she didn't of course want to sing seeing it'd ruin her reputation with being cruel and cold in a fight. Okay, that was only with people who were cold and cruel themselves.

She looked at him, she wondered why he was such a magnectic guy. She guessed living in Texas he learned more then just the guitar, she didn't press it because she wasn't sure about his past and didn't want to make enemies already. Though for some reason his personality kept growing on her, she hadn't a clue why her guard lowered around him. Whether it was the cute Texan accent or the guitar playing, or just how he was a great fighter. She knew that this was the closest she had gotten to anyone since Captain.

"You know... You remind me a lot of Captain, it's kinda odd how much though. I guess it's one of those weird things that happen, anyway I suppose you had a lot of friends back in Texas..." She didn't know why those words came out of her mouth. It almost sounded as if she was interested in him, she would've hit herself on the head if he wasn't there.

He listened to her, nodding his head, still keeping his guitar silent. He thought of something to say, but before he opened his mouth to say it, she'd spoken again.

"You know... You remind me a lot of Captain, it's kinda odd how much though. I guess it's one of those weird things that happen, anyway I suppose you had a lot of friends back in Texas..."

He looked down at his guitar, plucking a few random notes. He forced himself not to clear his throat, organizing his words in his mind so that he didn't sound uncomfortable. Not that he really was, she just seemed rather uncomfortable with what she'd just said, and that made him uncomfortable. He quickly covered his stalling with a truth. He grinned sheepishly. "Well actually, I made more enemies than friends.." he drawled, chuckling with the memories. "I dyed the entire senior football team's away jersey's pink... And I..." he trailed off, realizing that it probably wouldn't be best to list off all of the pranks he'd pulled. "Well, let's just say I pulled at least one prank, and got into at least 3 fights a day." he shrugged easily, and once the shrug was over, began to play another song. It was one that he'd made up, but he didn't say so.

She waited for him to break the odd silence and was thankful when he did.

"Well actually, I made more enemies than friends.. I dyed the entire senior football team's away jersey's pink... And I... Well, let's just say I pulled at least one prank, and got into at least 3 fights a day."

She chuckled, "I see, and I thought you said you didn't fight much?" She said teasingly, remembering what he said when they first met. It was kinda odd how well the two were getting along, a pirate and a prankster. Fia looked at him wondering if he had a girlfriend,

Why are these stupid insane thoughts coming in my head? He's probably very happily in love, and besides swordsman aren't supposed to be soft. A part of her added that a swordsman wasn't supposed to be foolish either. She only looked in thought while she thought this, she definately didn't want to create a odd situation.

She wondered what Ren thought of her, she guessed he thought she was too soft. She knew she had opened up a bit much to him compared to how she normally opened up to people. Fia wondered what kind of girls he liked, she was about ready to hit herself over the head. Why was that on her mind? She looked at the sky noticing the time, she decided it must've been a effect of staying up too late listening to a guy she barely knew playing guitar.

He began to play again, and she listened to the tune her thoughts quieting, it was somewhat different then the others that were well known. This one seemed to have a different feel, she didn't know what it was but it captured her attention. She liked it a lot and it shown on her face and in her eyes which once again sparkled like that of the stars twinkling back at the sky.

She guessed having some guy play music and them both being alone gave her a bad effect of the mind. Like wondering if he had a girlfriend, or if he thought she was nice, she really wondered what she was thinking. She knew she wouldn't tell Ren the thoughts going through her mind. But a part of her wondered.

Ren chuckled. "That's why I stopped explaining. See, it's hard to explain, since I was gonna say I didn't pick fights, but prank pulling is technically picking a fight. Mostly I got beat up because of a prank I pulled. That's why I'm such a good loser." he drawled easily, never losing beat in his song. He had an easy going grin on his face as he played.

She seemed to suddenly fall deep into thought, and he wondered what she was thinking about. The Captain, perhaps? He sounded like a man that Ren would have liked to get to know. He was starting to fidget again, and he pondered things that he could to. He was a bit at a loss though, since he didn't want to be rude and just leave Fia. He found his mind starting to wander, playing the song from memory, not really paying attention to it. As was the norm for him, he began running random facts through his head, recalling interesting things that he'd learned on the ranch, like square dancing, or how to birth a calf with no proper equipment, how to ride a green horse. He smiled slightly, how to ride a bull without getting bashed in.

She decided there was no reason to think of girlish things. She chuckled at his answer, "I doubt your a loser, you just need to learn how to pull a prank and not get caught. Pranks are okay depending on the way they're set." She said with a chuckle wondering if he ever pulled a successful prank.

"You know... I've pull a few pranks myself, you know being raised by pirates you learn sneaky ways to do things. If you want I could help you out?" She said with a smirk, she liked the fun of waiting for someone to step or happen to set off a prank. She would definately enjoy helping him set up more successful pranks.

Ren grinned. "Would you believe that I get caught on purpose?" he cocked his head to the side, looking up at her much like a puppy. However, his eyes were twinkling mischieviously. He'd pulled off many pranks that no one had known who did it. The joy's of teleporation. He always had an alibi. However, there were always those guys who liked having a punching bag. "Mostly, the fights I got into weren't having anything to do with that I pulled that day. Let's say it spiced up a boring life." He ended the song with relish, and stood, slinging his guitar behind his back. He was bored still, and he couldn't sit still much longer.

Then he figured out what he wanted to do. Up popped a pen knife, then a half finished wooden penny whistle. Still standing, he began to carve at the wood, doing something with his hands. Not that anybody cared, but his teachers had pondered whether or not he had ADD. But nobody really cared enough to get him tested for it. Not that he really cared. He wasn't keen on being labled.

"Would you believe that I get caught on purpose?"

She chuckled, "Yes I would, I guess you probably liked the excitement?" She said looking at him with a smile, he was quite a odd one. He was quite an interesting person, odd yet interesting.

"Mostly, the fights I got into weren't having anything to do with that I pulled that day. Let's say it spiced up a boring life."

She noticed his boredom, she wondered why he was so fidgety. She didn't mind it though, "You bored?" She asked him trying to think of something else that they could do to keep his interest so that he didn't fidget so much.

She saw him start widdling making a penny whistle. She smiled, widdling was often done by bored pirates. She had figured he most likely was more bored then he let on. "How about we go do something?" She asked him wondering what he liked to do in his spare time.

Ren grinned apologetically. "It isn't the company. I've never been able to stay still for very long." he shrugged, knife and whistle disapearing back to where they'd been. He looked up for a moment, thinking.

"So...first random topic of the day. Have you done much dancing?" he asked, voice cheerful, eyes dancing mischieviously. He was an ok dancer, but he was far better at calling. As a matter of fact, he'd been employed to be the caller at the valentines hoe down at the stable. He was looking forward to it. He placed his hands in his pockets, forcing himself to stay still, instead, focusing on small pebbles, making them disapear and reappear in different placed before him, making no sound or anything like that.

"It isn't the company. I've never been able to stay still for very long."

She chuckled, "I don't mind at all, it's nice to not get too lazy." She said with a smile getting up, she herself didn't like sitting long. She wanted to stand since she wasn't enjoying the log very much nor was sitting still her favorite thing to do.

"So...first random topic of the day. Have you done much dancing?"

"Um... Not too much recently, when I was younger all the time on the ship. But it's rare that swordsmen break out in a square dance or something. Though that's not a no no to a swordman, unless it's completely insane but I haven't danced in a long time." She said with a smile, her eyes still visable. She looked nothing like the tough feminine woman fighter who was named after her spirit of sharp bravery and high strung. She was more then just a swordsman, she was a girl deep inside.
