Oh hey it's a gift box! Inside there is a simple birthday card with the generic happy birthday text.

There is also a bag of Dalia's favorite island brand of Bone-Marrow Chips.

Just underneath the bag of chips is a blue scarf that is tattered, bloody, and dirty. There seems to be an impression of a J at one of the ends on the scarf.

The handwriting is remarkably similar to Chloe's. The note does, in fact, come with a carefully-written magic contract. There are two places for signatures on it, and one side is already signed 'Chloe Minor' and dated several days ago.

The package is a styrofoam icebox with holes on the sides, made by a thin tool like an ice pick repeatedly thrust into it. It's light, and there's a chirping. Inside is a floor of dried grass, a small container to hold a bit of water and another full of animal feed. The only other thing is a black chick and a small red ribbon, and a picture of Marian, taken very recently.
