'Everyone's fighting...'

It was a strange feeling, but he resisted it. It was sympathy, yes? Or was it concern? Either way, Akane still hesistated, he didn't want to go into a bloody battle that resulted from absolutely nothing. People'll die just because they're trying to protect others. No one would get anything out of it. He hadn't a inkling of who anyone was, so why should he care?

He sighed, placing his hands on his lap. His power was turned off, so he could at least fight, hand-to-hand. But- there was weapons in this case. He'd stand no chance. Coupled with his still indifferent thoughts, he wondered.

Should he or should he not care? He eyed the scythes that had almost hit him in his corporeal form, and the bloody back of the fallen fighter. No, not until he should.

Suddenly, out of the blue, Ember was thrown aside to the ground by Aeta. Honestly, Ember first thought was How rude!, so she stood up and took her place next to him this time.

Aeta seemed very worried for Jaden, he must really care for her. Ember looked at him, without a word; then, she looked back at Akane, all alone, but seemed to not care. She wondered why he never cared, but she had to focus on what was infront of her. She was prepared for anything that came her way, except for what had previously happened.

Jaden blinked when he opened his eyes and pushed her aside, suddenly feeling a bit annoyed. She could take care of herself! She had never had anyone to be so protective of her, so it was weird, to be quite honest. Her eyes went wide when he took the hits and started bleeding, and quickly shook her head. For the first time in what seemed like forever, she wanted to cry, but refused to do so. She wouldn't show weakness.

"I don't want you to get hurt either, so you're an idiot too!" she said right back to him. "You don't always have to protect me. I can take care of myself..." She offered him a smile. "Just worry about yourself, no matter what. I don't want you to be caused any more harm over worrying about me... now stay out of the fight before you die and let me help!!"

He meant a lot to her, and she wasn't going to just let him die. She offered him another smile, hoping he would believe she would be alright. She glanced at the boy who was still watching them fight, but then looked at Aeta, Ember, and Nero. She then turned all of her attention to Nero. "Leave him alone... NOW..." she said, eyes narrowing. "If you need to fight, fight people who aren't injured!" Her fingers were burning because of acid that was just begging to be released. If acid would just harm Aeta like that other guy said last time, then she could use her sword again.

Ember watched as Jaden got up and told Aeta that she could take care of herself. In a way, Jaden was absolutely right, after all, Aeta was badly injured, and Ember and Jaden weren't and Ember was strong, and she believed that Jaden was too.

Ember couldn't help but smile with teh things thatJaden said to Aeta, she had strong feelings for him, they reminded Emebr of somone she used to know...she snapped back to reality and said to Aeta, "She's right. Let us help!" Inside, Ember ahd no idea what she was doing, after all she had no idea whose these people were. She could back out right now, but she didn't want to. She wanted to help, no matter what.

Ember looked at Jaden then at Nero. "That's right! If you want to fight him, you've gotta go though us!" Ember said with a fierce look burning in her eyes. She looked over at Jaden for some sort of silent support or agreement or something. Anything

Aeta trembled, starting to cry. "I dont want any of you to get hurt...I......" He shook his head, giving up on speaking. Suddenly he started to shake violently, and forced himself up, his neck and back popping in places, as if bones that were broken or dislocated were finding their correct positions again. "You wont fight him..I am the one under his Curse, I am the only one he cannot truly harm!" He pushed the two of them away, gently, and ran forward, kicking Nero in the chest and forcing him back. He ran over to the tower, running up the wall and grabbing his Buster, pulling it out as he fell down to the roof. He turned and held it up, ready to fight.

"The cavalry has arrived!" A voice called out. With that, Zaine jumped down from a tower and landed in front of Nero, his Masamune at ready. "Nero! So nice to see you again! Ready to die? So soon? Oh, good thing then. Jaden! Ember! Stay back, Let us handle him, we're more than capable!" he shouted at them before retreating to Aeta's side.

"That's right! If you want to fight him, you've gotta go though us!"

Jaden turned her head to look at Ember. She nodded briefly in agreement, then looked back at Nero. She was about to say something more to the spoiled brat when she heard Aeta start to speak, and he sounded like he was about to cry. She didn't look back at him, though, knowing that if she looked back and saw him crying she would do whatever he told her to do. Upon hearing that cracking and popping, the young female winced, not wanting to see that, either.

She sighed when she was pushed away again. I understand you don't want us hurt... but what sense does it make to fight alone when you'll take even more damage? she wondered. She said nothing, though, figuring she would say something about it later. Right now wasn't the best time. The fourteen-year-old kept her eyes on him, though, because if it turned out he needed help, she wasn't going to let him push her aside anymore.

"The cavalry has arrived!"

Blue eyes turned to look at the new person that had arrived. She sighed once again when he told her to stay back as well. She turned to Ember, rolling her eyes, a little bit annoyed by the males who thought they could take care of everything themselves. Even so, she stayed back, folding her arms over her chest and just watching.

Ember listened to the trembling in Aeta's voice and then the cracking of bones and joints. She winced slightly at the sound and then clenched her jaw as she was pushed ot the side, again. Still, Ember stood her ground, still ready to help out in any way...but it seemed as though the only thing she'd be allowed to do was stay back.

Suddenly, someone else had arrived, a male. He too told Jaden and Ember to stay back, that him and Aeta could handle it. She rolled her eyes and notcied that Jaden, too, rolled her eyes. Ember moveda few steps closer to Jaden and stuffed her hands in the pockets of her jeans, sighing angrily. "Men," she said.

Nero jumped back, swinging his Scythe's around to a ready stance. Zaine sped forward with masamune after him, only to be thrown back and cut down the back. As he landed, Aeta attacked Nero from the side, sideswiping the man's arm before being hurled back like Zaine. Zaine shook his head. "This isn't working," He said, groaning as he tried to stand.

Ember watched as Nero fought both Aeta and Zaine at the same time, and still he was winning. Emerb wanted to jump in and help them, but she didn't want to go at it alone. She saw how Nero easily beat both Aeta and Zaine, and for the first time, she was hesitant. She looked over to Jaden, to see if she would go attack with her. If not, she'd go alone.
