The 'New Chris'

Chris stood awkwardly in the street, self-consciously patting his hair. Random passers-by began to look at him curiously, and not without a hint of suspicion.
Oops! He edged into a side alley, made sure no-one was looking, and concentrated.
Mirror. Instantly a small hand mirror appeared. He held it up and examined his hair from every angle for about the thousandth time since he'd left the barber's.
He'd gone to his cousin Aaron, who worked there, just for a chat and maybe to get his hair trimmed. Instead Aaron had practically thrown him into a chair and started chopping. "Wha!?" Chris had stuttered.
"It's a shambles! Look at the colour. It's all wrong! And you most definitely suit longer hair, my friend.."
After an hour, he was finally done. "It's on the house!" Aaron yelled after him.
Gee, thanks, Chris thought sarcastically, taking yet another look at himself. Was his hair too long? Too short? Did it stick up in too many directions? Was it the wrong colour? Black had been cool, but this dark brown wasn't all that bad either....
And the new jacket didn't exactly make him look like the fashion police were out to get him. Chris surveyed the pale green parka he was wearing and smiled for the first time that day. Maybe this 'new Chris' wasn't as bad as he'd first expected.

((hope you dont mind my replying...))

Atalia had been bored and she had decided to go for a walk. So how she wound up in a city and didnt know how to get back to the academy but instead of flying she decided to just meander around aimlessly for a while.

Soon after deciding this she walked past a boy in an alley that looked familiar but she couldnt quite place him so she continued on at a slow pace.

Great, thought Chris.
Even Atalia doesn't recognise me in this. Thanks a LOT, Aaron.
Maybe she just needed a few hints...
Chris walked up to her.
"Hey, Atalia! How've you been?"

((OoC: It's okay! I was waiting for someone to reply anyway...))

Atalia stopped when she heard her name. She turned around and it was the boy she had seen in the alley.
Okay so at least I do know him..." she thought
But where from? The academy? Probably...thats where I know everyone from..."
She continued to ponder who he was when she said
"I'm fine." with a large smile not letting on yet that she couldnt remember who he was
"How are you?" she asked still smiling.

It was obvious she didn't recognise him.
Damn.
"Well, I just went in to a barber's shop expecting a trim and got the full works. I'm not surprised you don't know who I am..."
Time for some imaginative thinking.
Before and after pictures?
"These ring a bell?"

Atalia looked at him for a moment with raised eyebrows thinking hard about who he could be. His voice sounded so familiar and she was the least bit worried about not being able to place him she felt calm. and then all of a sudden it hit her.
"Oh...my...God...CHRIS?!" she yelled.
"What happened to your hair? Wait nevermind you told me...." she said and put her hand on his face.
"I like it." she said with a smile.

"Phew...so I won't have to kill Aaron."
Chris blushed slightly.
"So what are you doing here?"

"Nothing I just got bored and went for a walk."
She said biting her lower lip. She didnt know why she just bit her lip when she got nervous and for some reason she was nervous at the moment.
"Whos Aaron?" she asked

"He's the guy who did this to me. I'd have had to kill him if people didn't like it..."
His business here was done.
"So do you want to head back to the academy?"
