Hallow stood on her bed, putting up a big poster of a white skull, on a black background, the eyes of it seemed fiery and endless. She stabbed tacks into each corners, then plopped down on her bed, crossing her legs, resting her hands in her lap, looking up at the skull poster happily. She then laid flat on her back, looking at the plain ceiling, wondering what she could put up there, maybe some of those glowy stars or something.

The room was actually meant for two. There were two beds, but only one was empty on the other side of the room. And a couple dressers, originally there had only been one, but she had bought her own that was dark colored and at the end of her bed a top her dresser was three garden gnomes. The front of her bed there was a bed side table, with a lamp that had a black light bulb with it, that didn't light the room very well.

She sat up again, and ran her hands through her hair, wondering when her new roommate she was to have would arrive soon, she hadn't been told what day or time the girl was to arrive, but she had heard it would be soon, and she dreaded the moment, and wondered who it would be, and if she would get along with the person, something told her they won't.

Cassiel hummed as she walked, carrying a suitcase in one hand and a backpack on the opposite shoulder. She had brought mostly clothes and money, figuring she could get everywhere with just those items. A few small things, like pictures and other things to decorate with, had been brought along as well. As always, she was wearing high heels, and along with this a somewhat loose shirt that hung off her shoulder and revealed the strap of the halter top beneath and a pair of dark skinny jeans.

She drew closer to the end of the hallway, where the map had showed her room was, and lifted an eyebrow at the sight of an open door. Oh, no, she hoped that wasn’t her room. She didn’t want to be the second one there.

But she was.

Cassiel gulped as she walked inside. This girl seemed… dark? Was that the right word? The poster caught her eyes immediately and Cassiel’s eyes widened. How could anyone like that?! She was going to have nightmares! Who hung skulls over the place they slept?

“You are deeply disturbed,” she said, gawking and dropping her bags in the doorway.

Her eyes were slowly closing to rest some, until she heard footsteps in the hall, and then a girls voice and the sound of bags dropping. She sat up almost immediately, and the girls face was priceless. She tossed her head back and laughed. "I'll take that as a compliment." She then looked the girl over, tilting her head to the side. Oh god. She looked like the rich prissy kind. She knew something was gonna be wrong.

She flicked a strand of black hair over her shoulder, and looked at the girl. Deeply disturbed. She glanced at the gnomes on her dresser, one she had painted a skull looking face over its face, and then her poster of the skull, and everything she owned was basically black, or purple, she supposed she could be, but it was normal for her. She stood up, folding her arms. Hallow wore a simple larger black tee, and black pocketless cargoes.

"I'm Hallow Holiday. Or... more preferably, Halloween." She said, grinning.

Cassiel’s face contorted into a look of disbelief. “You shouldn’t,” she said. “You need mental help. That isn’t meant to be a compliment.” Cass rolled her eyes. Now she knew she was dealing with a psychopath. No one in this school was even vaguely normal except for Seth… and she hadn’t found him yet. This was all turning out to be just plain fricken dandy.

Everything was black, dark, or about skulls. Cassiel winced. Of all the people she had to be placed with, it had to be this tubby freak. “Who died?” she asked, insinuating that this girl – Hallow – was getting ready for a funeral.

“I’m Cass,” she said, sticking her nose in the air as she grabbed her bags. And I’m better than you, she finished mentally.

She set her bags down on her bed and began to unpack photographs, not paying any mind to the girl she was doomed to stay with. “So let’s set up some ground rules,” she said. “Don’t touch my stuff, especially my hair brush, my lipstick, or anything else that is extremely important. You can only borrow my clothes if it’s an emergency and if you get them dirty, you pay for the dry cleaning. Let’s see… oh, I don’t charge for makeovers either, although therapy sessions must all be dealt with by professionals.” Cassiel nodded, acting entirely nonchalant although inside she was cackling inside.

Hallow snorted in laughter, before glowering at the girl. So she was called Cass? Prissy name, prissy clothes, prissy voice, it was driving Hallow crazy, especially the way how the girl acted like she was better then her, it made her look at the girl with more hate. She was going to kill the person who sets up the dorms. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put this girl in this dorm must have a death wish, She thought.

"Ground rules...? Fun."

Oh, she was so not liking this girl. She listened as the girl started speaking her rules. When she brought up makeovers and therapy, it made her want to hit the girl, maybe sic a few gnomes at her.

"Well, aren't you full of it. But if we're having some... rules, then here's mine; don't my stuff, and I will hurt you. Touch the gnomes, and they will destroy your perfect little face as you sleep." She then stopped, and looked thoughtful a moment, before grinning darkly. "Actually, you might not want to even close your eyes for a few even." Hallow said.

Cass’ stared at the girl, her chest rising and sinking with each deep, angry breath she took. Oh wow, was she shaking? Cass bit her lip and clenched her fists. Who the hell did this girl think she was to threaten her?! She stalked toward Hallow, looking at her and trying to get a grasp on her feelings to say something piercing and horribly unkind. Something that would sting; that would send this girl back to her place.

She lifted her index finger and stuck it in Hallow’s face, her chest still heaving. Something, something, something to say!

Cassiel lowered her finger, then, and seemed to calm down. It was as if Hallow’s words hadn’t gotten to her in the first place. She giggled and smiled, then threw her arms out to the side in an exaggerated shrug. “Listen, I know you’re ugly and you’re fat, and that you could easily be mistaken for a boy, but that’s no reason to hate me. Everyone’s got a little beauty in them – even if yours if really hard to find. It’s okay, hunny. The pain will ease.” She reached out her hand and patted Hallow on the head with a patient smile, then turned back to her suitcase and continued to unpack.
