Hella relaxed a bit in her seat, rubbing at her forehead.

"Fennick Althos. They're a friend I met through work. They're at the Lunar Reprieve downtown."

She paused and looked him dead in the eye, chewing on the inside of her cheek so she could taste her own blood. "I'm not in the business of waiting around for others to save me, Doctor. So please. Make your calls. Do what you need to do. But I'm going to save Aura if it's the last thing I do."

As Hella spoke, Vladimir held up his hand to stop her. "Miss Magnusson, the less I know, the better it is for you and for Aura," he said, being very frank with her.

"I have no doubt what you are telling me is the truth. You needn't convince me. I know there have been cases in the past of less than stellar treatment at the islets," he told her calmly.

"However, I also know Aura's case and I intuit that whatever you intend to do to help your girlfriend... is probably not medically-approved," he stated matter-of-factly as he stared meaningfully at Hella.

"And if that is the case, and if I "knew for certain" I'd have to report you," he explained, hoping she'd get the hint.

"I understand. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. And I mean that - I find that people are too quick to diminish the meaning of gratitude by thanking anyone and everyone on a whim. I, however, do not."

If he was a smart man - and he seemed like it, Vladimir might get that distinctly Fae impression from Hella's words. She folded her hands across her lap once again and sat quite still.

"Now please. Do whatever you must. I need to know before I leave here today if my girlfriend can be moved or not."

Vladimir simply nodded, acknowledging Hella's words of gratitude. He did actually understand what she was trying to convey as he had dealt with a wide range and variety of patients over the decades.

"She will be released tomorrow afternoon," he explained as he scribbled a few things on a notepad and turned to the computer at his desk, pulling up Aura's case file and medical records.

"You can visit her day after next," he informed her. "The Moon clinics like to make sure their patients are secure, safe... and sedated if necessary, before allowing visitors," he said as he filled out the transfer form.

"One condition to my help," Vladimir stated, his voice firm as he turned to look at Hella, an intense look on his face now.

"Aura is to come back to see me for a check-up when ... she... feels like her old self," he stated, deliberately being careful with his words though the message was clear - whatever Hella intended to do, he needed to know whether or not Aura was fine.

"Of course, Doctor. I can promise that, should she want to, I will urge her to come visit you. But I will not make promises on her behalf. Those are not mine to keep."

Stands up from her chair, Hella smoothed down the front of her dress and pushed a stray hair back in place. Picture perfect composure, compared to the building unrest she'd shown before.

"I will see myself out then. Have a lovely day, sir."

The full moon was in two days, so the timing was perfect. She would have a lot to prepare, and not a lot of time to do it. Sleep could be put off and her Einherjar could be put to less important tasks. But she would still be cutting everything close.

"No, Miss Magnusson. That is not negotiable," Vladimir said as he stood up. "Aura's well being is as important to me as it is to you."

"I am placing my career on the line to help you. If anything should happen to her..." he let the words hang in the air, not yet clicking the send button on the transfer.

Hella's pupils narrowed again and her lips drew together into a thin line. "I will do everything in my power to get her to agree to come see you when she is better, an action I am sure she will have no issue with. But should she not want to visit you for a follow up, for whatever reason, that is not my decision to make, Doctor. If you cannot see that, then I will not be able to change your mind on that matter."

Vladimir paused, considering Hella's words, undaunted by her irritation or her attitude... he had faced worse in his lifetime.

"I will put in the transfer," he stated finally. "However, if I don't see Aura in ... let's say six week's time. Or I hear that something has happened to her... " he said as he looked at Hella, not finishing the sentence immediately.

"There may be consequences."

And with that, he clicked a few buttons sending through the transfer.

"There. You can go see your girlfriend," he said as he said goodbye to Hella.

Aura didn't really know what was going on. In her mix of medicated haze and the mind-shattering influence of the eldritch parasite fused with her she simply continued her desperate fight to stay herself as best she could.

Different people. Unhappy people. Fear and anger but unable to bite. A new room. Different clothes that they had to force her to put on.

But ultimately she found herself unchained and unmasked, sniffing around at what seemed to be a much softer room. Although a few curious attempts to bite at things or scratch the walls with her fingers revealed it was far sturdier than it appeared. Still trapped. Pacing. Pacing. Too anxious for the medication to really subdue her perfectly. The moon. It was the moon feeling. She wanted to howl so she did. That felt good.

She didn't know it but it was about time for Hella to arrive to start her last minute prep for her plan. The key to Aura's null bracelet would be handed to her girlfriend upon arrival, along with a warning about being careful.

Careful was everything that Aura intended to be and more. She had taken the past couple of days to set up what she thought she would need, and continued a mantra in her own head that it wouldn't be in vain.

Hella entered the room first, when Aura was away from the door so that she couldn't make a bolt for it. The stuffies came after, carrying her tools on trolleys. Most of it was blood - bags and bags of the stuff laid out and stacked in exacting manners. She had no illusions that she would get injured in this process - that she would need to heal herself so that she would be able to continue the work.

She was dressed in surgical scrubs, her normally gothic style replaced by one cold and clinical. "Aura..." she started, her voice shaking a bit. She knew why surgeons didn't work on their loved ones. But as far as she was concerned, she was also the only person in the world willing to do this.

"Can you understand me? We - I'm here to help."
