Private Finished The Last Thing I Want to Do

Aura watched as this person curled up and tried to hide from her even as they claimed to be Hella. It confused and hurt her deeply- either it was a terrible mean spirited joke or it really was Hella and she was recoiling away from her.

No, she wasn't going to just let things be and go off to be alone too. Aura pressed forward, shuffling forward to sniff at 'Hella'. She smelled not exactly as Aura remembered but she still smelled mostly like Hella. And that was enough for her. Scent was far more reliable than her limited vision was at the moment.

Aura let out a very canine whine and then draped her arms around the balled up form of Hella. She tried to summon up the right words to say but for the moment it just came out as soft, somewhat broken up sounds of attempted comforting and a side helping of confusion.

Aura was bewildered and confused and still trying to rebuild a mind that had been shattered and restored and shattered constantly since the parasite had ramped up its assault on her very being. The sleep had helped but she wasn't ready to handle these emotions.

She had to though. She had been broken and Hella saved her. If Hella was hurt because of what happened then Aura had to do... something? She didn't have much in her arsenal, and didn't quite trust herself to try to figure out what all she still had- she was already keeping her eyes closed because it stopped the dizziness and weird sensation of less clarity and dimension to her sight.

Aura ignored Hella's attempts to hide away from her and hugged her close to herself. "Shh... shh. I don't- I can't. Save the words. I love you. I'll always love you." And that was about the extent of her ability to speak intelligibly for the moment, herself. She just held onto Hella and didn't let go. A powerful urge to kiss her was pushed away for the moment as she opted to just keep things simple.

It was terrifying. To feel that clearly weak heartbeat. It felt like something dying in her soul to imagine what it could have meant. But Aura didn't have the energy or the focus to dwell on that. She just curled up as protectively as she could around Hella- her heart, although she didn't know that she was going to call her that just yet.

Aura's bodily warmth had returned, though no longer carrying the unsettling and looming otherworldly threat along with it. And she gladly shared herself with Hella, as she let out a quiet whine and nuzzled up against her. Not exactly sleeping but dosing off as they lay there.
