Corona struggled to stand up. That was gonna hurt for the next few days. He felt bad that Paul would be the one to put up with it. The creature seemed too interested in Moonlight and Sparky to notice him. Apparently, it thought it had killed him. It would soon realize its mistake as Corona began slashing at its tail and back-end. The creature screeched and materialized as it tried to shake away from the holy shock.

"Get it!" He managed to cry out.

"Sparky, Flash Spear!" the metal beast molded into a giant spear. It floated lifelessly in the air, doing nothing, until suddenly teleporting to the other side of the chapel. Again, nothing happened. A few seconds passed, and suddenly a large hole peirced through the shadow dragon. Sparky had somehow pulled a delayed attack.

Gorielastrasz roared out in anger as chunks of its body began to fade away. Its tail slammed Corona away as it shook its massive head. A pool of darkness opened under it and it slithered away, never to reappear. While it had not been killed, it had escaped from the Material Plane beyond Moonlight or Corona's reach.

Corona sat up and took a few moments to catch his breath. "I've never seen a shadow dragon escape from combat before. They'll generally stay until either they or their opponent has been killed. Though, I've never fought one that young before, either."

"Young shadow dragons may not be as brave as the fully grown ones. That, or it figured that the battle was one-sided." She glanced at her metal fingers, moving them gently. Sparky retorted back to normal, to the size of a chipmunk, it climbed up to her shoulder.

"That is what you came for isn't it?" She glanced toward the now-enchented twin swords.

"I've never seen weapons like them before." she admired their angelic glow, then looked up at the sky through the roofless chapel.

"Lessat is still out there isn't he? Searching for other things he can use for his own good." she paused to take a breath, wondering where the demon may be. She furrowed her forehead when a horrible thought shot through her mind.

"Corona, are there any other weapons like the Guardian Sword? Lessat may be after them!"

"Shadow dragons are incarnations of darkness itself. They do not feel fear, for they are fear itself. It must have been commanded to return to Hell.It would not have left otherwise."

He nodded at her question. "Yes, I have received what i came for. However, the weapons I now hold are not the Guardian's Blade. It is known as the Dreamsabre. Having the Guardian's Blade merely allowed Paul to tap into his spiritual power so i can summon my Dreamsabre without hurting him. You've never seen a weapon like this because it is impossible for this weapon to be created by anything of this world. My swords were created from my own mind."

He looked around, searching for any clues where Lesset could have ran to. He didn't sense his overwhelming aura anywhere. Which he was quite glad, because Lesset could destroy them without so much as breaking a sweat. "This is the only holy relic I am aware of on this island. I doubt he is after anything else. I don't sense him anywhere nearby. I don't think he is on the island anymore."

Moonlight exhaled with releif.
"Phew... but if Lesset every does come back..." she didn't finish her sentence.

"I feel that more of these dragons will come later. For now, I'm just paranoid." she glanced at Corona.

"Are you going to faint again?" she asked. As if on que, Sparky slithered to the marble floor and grew to his normal size. He seemed happy to help.

His swords suddenly vanished. "Shadow Dragons are incredibly rare. They live for thousands and thousands of years, and don't give birth, or lay eggs, like your typical dragon. The one we just faced was very very young, I would say about two-hundred. Chances are you will never see another shadow dragon in your entire life. But if you do, you can bet it will not be a pleasurable experience."

He turned to her and laughed slightly. "Yes, but it won't be as long this time. Please just carry me back to the school and leave me under a tree or something." His hair, eyes, and clothing turned back to normal and his rusty, piece-of-junk sword returned to its sheath as he fell forward.

"Okay then..." Sparky picked up the unconcious Paul and placed him on his back. Moonlight hopped up between Paul and Sparkys neck.

"Lets go back." with a powerful flap of his metalic wings, the group was airborne, and flying with god speed back to SA.
