"Listen, this is a creature of darkness. Normal attacks have a significantly less effect upon it. It won't die the same way a normal creature would. If your skin touches the thing, you're going to get very badly burned!"

The creature came for him again but he barely dodged out of the way as the thing slammed into a tree, and the tree suddenly lost all its leaves and became a dead, burnt out hollow piece of wood.

Moonlights eyes widened as she saw the charcoled tree fall over from burns. She stayed still, more scared than she normally would of been. She stood in a daze, remembering the first thing of her past.

She had a flashback. She was standing infront of the ruins of a manor, burned to the ground. Aged 6, Moonlight ventured in. She found a young baby girl partially covered in ashes laughing. Laughing...

Moonlight quickly pushed the thought from her attention.

"If normal attacks don't have a good efficet, then how can we beat it?"
swerving above the creature.

"Trap it?" her wave stretched into a large platform, similar to a turtle shell. It strecthed enough to fit the thing in.

"Actually.." Corona thought. "You may be on to something here..can you hold it down so only the head is showing?"

The creature screeched again and what looked like black claw marks suddenly covered Corona as he was thrown a few feet into the air and a pillar of black fire spurted from the ground and shot up through his back. He fell back to the ground, twitching. Though the attack seemed more dangerous than it really was. He struggled to to get up but the burn left him temporarily stunned.

"Don't worry.. I'm fine.."

The creatuire turned to face the twitching Corona, roaring.
"I'll try!" focusing on levitateing, and creating a metal object this big drained energy. With relief, she released the metal 'shell' It clasped down on top of the thing. It's head and right arm still stuck out. She quickly surfed around the thing, securing the shell into the ground by coating the edge with silver. It would take a lot of force to break through this shell from below. She then began thickening the surface.

Corona stood up and began charging his spirit energy. The creature screeched loudly and more terrible images would enter the mind. It desperately tried to break free, but whether it could or not was irrelevant in th situation. For even if it could, it wouldn't be in enough time to avoid Corona's attack.

"The fist to slay one-thousand demons.." He chanted, rushing at the creature and jumping above it, his spiritual energy charged into his right hand. "Fist of Heaven!" His fist plummeted onto the creature's head. A direct hit that it could not avoid. Holy energy coursed through its body, causing it to screech in pain and desperation. Its eyes flicked and lost their red color, becoming dark and lifeless. Then its body began to dissolve into nothingness. Within a few seconds, it was completely gone. Banished back into the depths of Hell it was summoned from.

"Whoa..." Moonlight stared, unaware where she was going. She jumped off of her wave and rolled in time to not crash into a tree. The shell twisted and turned. It contracted to a very small ball of metal, Moonlight put it in her pouch on her belt.

"I need some source of metal to use my powers, so incase there is none." She felt a little faint after levitating something that large but refused to admit it to Corona.
"What was that... thing? And what now, do we go through that water filled cave we found?"

A bright light shined in the sky, slowly descending downwards. It finally stopped in front of Corona, who grasped the light with his hand. The light became a shoddy-looking dull longsword.

"Nope, this is what I came for. " He seemed to completely ignore her question about the creature they had just faced.

"What, this peice of Junk?" She raised her hand, in attempts to bend it. She strained, and a bead of sweat dripped down her face before she gave up.

"Why won't it bend?" a sudden headache came to her. "Corona, you shouldn't be touching that. I can't bend it so it is no ordinary metal. It may be dangerous... or enchanted."

"This is the Guardian's Blade. And you're right, it is enchanted. But its power is sealed away and unusable. It takes the shape of a "piece of junk"- as you described it - when it doesn't have said power. I suppose the only way someone could tell that it is not mundane is if they tried to use energy to bend it like you just did."

Corona seemed to think for a second.

"Um, can I ask you a favor? I'm about to faint..I'll be out for.. a while. Is it possible for Sparky to take me back to the school?"

"How would somebody know when they are going to faint? Sure, if you do I gladly will." She whistled loudly, not fearing the mermaids. Sparky landed next to her a minute later.
"Climb on top of him first. This, 'Guardian Blade', how can you use its power though? Also, enchanted items were forged WAYYYYYY back in centuries recorded even before men by the gods. Isn't it possible that it may have lost its power?"
