"Cant you just expel me like a normal teacher instead of this your not getting anything out of me so dont bother trying."
Did he want to be expelled? For a moment, she wondered if he was doing this just to get out of this school, then remembered that he had said he had been doing this for six years. Plus, he had just said she wouldn't get anything out of him. Maria sighed inwardly, and shook her head. "I'm not going to expel you," she said. Why would she? The boy needed help, not to be kicked out of a place where he could actually get it. "And even if I won't get anything out of you, I'm still going to try, even it turns out being a waste of time."
"STOP IT!!! He doesn't want to tell you, he won't tell anyone. I think this is enough Miss Headmistress, he doesn't need another person to try what others have. I know you want to help him but even I don't know his reason."
The Headmistress turned her gaze to the little girl. Well, it was obvious that he didn't want to tell her. She didn't think that it was enough, seeing as she still hadn't gotten all the answers she wanted. Besides, what kind of a Headmistress would she be if she just let the child go without helping him, and never bothered him again? Not a very good one, in her opinion. She didn't know what the girl meant by 'even I don't know his reason', since she didn't know about her feelings for him.
But, if she did let them leave, that didn't mean she still couldn't get answers. She could still ask other people; teachers, other students, anyone. Maybe that way she could get answers and try to help without the boy knowing. But if that didn't work, she would find another way; she was determined to help him. She was silent for a while, biting her lip, thinking of whether or not she should let them leave her office or not.
She finally came to a decision. "Listen... I know neither of you want to be here, and that he probably doesn't need so many people trying to help him, but he does need the help, whether he wants it or not. I wouldn't be much of a Headmistress if I let you go and never tried to help again, now would I?" she said quietly, and looked back at the boy. "But, I suppose you do have a choice. Either you can tell me what's going on and why you drink and such privately here in my office, now or some other time, whichever you prefer. Or, I could just have someone follow you wherever you go, just to make sure you don't drink or smoke too much until you finally aren't allowed to do it at all. There are a few other things I could do, but I won't mention them right now. It's up to you." She shrugged her shoulders.
