Cheeto was showing off. Chloe recognized this immediately, and she didn’t mind at all.

“That’s… actually pretty impressive,” Chloe said of Cheeto’s demonstration. “And I know people who can do some crazy stuff, so that’s saying something.” A few seconds later, Chloe realized how entirely normal it was for someone at this school to have had that kind of experience – knowing people with crazy powers. She didn’t know how she felt about that.

Dorito’s power was a secret. “I can respect that,” Chloe nodded. She wasn’t very apt to tell a lot of people here about her own abilities, either. For all they would know, she just had superhuman strength and a weird body.

“So, uh… is Dorito also in on this whole conversation? Since you share a mind. Or am I not getting it?”

By now, Chloe's plate was only a few bites from being empty.

Cheeto gave a small, conspiratorial grin. "Dorito won't know about this for a while. I'm pretty sure she's busy somewhere since she's keeping the link closed on her end too." She smiled, then looked at Chloe's tray, she was pretty close to being done too. Cheeto put her cutlery down and exhaled slowly, the digestive process incapacitating the little goblin as she sighed contently. "That was good, I needed that."

She looked up at Chloe suddenly, snapping her fingers as it all came back to her. "Ooh, right! I don't have a class next period, would you be up for that tour?" Cheeto seemed to recover relatively quickly, beaming that little smile of hers up at Chloe, all ready to go out and start that tour.

“Sure!” Chloe was more than ready to learn her way around the school, and she was happy to have any help Cheeto could provide. As it stood, she knew how to navigate between three different places on campus. And if she was going to be staying at this school for…

Well, Chloe didn’t want to think too hard about how long she would be staying here. But knowing her way around would be good.

The demon-girl stuck close to the goblin as they cleared their table and left the dining area. Clinging to Cheeto’s side made her feel a little less out of place.
