RE: (OPEN) The Famished Ascetic
Hari saw the fear in Wei's body language and felt a deep shame, but he didn't blame Wei for his reaction. He garnered the same reaction from his father. His power was a curse and he was being punished for something he didn't know, and no matter how kind and gentle his manner, a monster was a monster. He bit his lip. He couldn't stop himself from tearing up.
Wei wasn't running away though. That was the key difference between him and his Dad — Wei was kind enough to try and help a monster. He... hoped he would be able to return even a fraction of his help.
He took the staff and lifted himself up, noticing Wei's hold wasn't as sturdy as before. At least the grass gave him enough strength to stand.
"Thank you," he said softly. "I never... I never wanted to be this way. If I can find some way to get rid of this curse, I'd take it. Please believe me when I say I don't want to hurt you."
