She'd continued to lean against Tomo, tears silently falling from her eyes. The memories were flowing it at a much smoother pace, it still hurt but didn't shock her emotions as badly. She was realizing how alone she'd always been, how much of a lie her old life had been.

"I'm so sorry that I'd forgotten you," she'd say, hugging her sister, wishing they'd been raised together, that they'd gotten a good home together. "I wanted to remember....to never forget," thus power had offered that, "so that I could be a better sister."

Between the bad memories, the ones that hurt, she saw a few good ones. Her kind owners who'd taken care of her before they died, the few small memories of her with her siblings. The painful ones outnumbered the good, but she'd have the good back either way. " I don't want to ever forget."

"It wasn't your fault, you've got nothing to apologize for."
Tomo answered quietly while hugging Shiro, stroking her hair at a slow, calming pace.
"You've been the best sister I could've ever asked for, believe me, and Tada thinks the same."

Tomo's chest felt lighter and tighter at the same time, while she listened to Shiro cry and speak, and she could see the trembling of her soul. Tomo felt so powerless, it was frustrating as hell.
"You won't, ever fucking again. Even if you did me and Tada would make you remember everything all over again. No way I'm losing you after finding you."

She'd keep hugging her sister, she was happy to have her, happy to have family that wouldn't leave or run. She wasn't alone anymore, and she'd never have to again. The memories would continue to return and many would hurt, but she'd never have to face then alone.
