Studying, Shiro didn't super care for it, but it was necessary and at least tonight she wasn't alone. Tomo sat across from her, both of them sitting on Shiro's bed, and her regalia, Alia sat in a chair nearby.

"Alia says my intelligence should be getting its boost soon," she'd say, sticking her tongue out playfully at her sister. "She thinks studying will help show when it kicks in," it'd fix her memory problems, she wouldn't need the meds anymore.

Opening her text book and her notebook shed look down at it, "besides the new abilities...how are you sis?" One of her cat ears would twitch as they spoke, her cat ears swishing behind her.

Ugh, Tomo hated studying outside school. She survived, hell, got good grades even if she didn't do it. But Shiro had asked her, and Tomo didn't want to turn down an invitation from her sister.
"I find it hard to believe anything would help with that blockhead of yours."
Tomo answered Shiro, and snickered back at her. Tomo was fidgeting with the corner of her notebook, looking like she had no intention of actually studying.

At Shiro's question Tomo shrugged and leaned back, falling on her back on the bed.
"Nothing, really. I've been working on the bakeneko form and getting that bastard under control but been fucking it up."

"You'll see once I pass you in class, maybe even get moved up a grade," she'd give her sister a gentle poke in the ribs, "don't worry little sis, I'll tutor you." Alia watched from a corner, the older regalia chuckling a little as she watched the two sisters talk and tease.

She'd hum in thought, "well yeah, were-forms aren't known to be easy to control," grabbing a bag of jerkr from her snack smile she'd toss it to her. "I think I'll focus on my partial shifting, like if I go that route I'll probably be able to get some good pieces of that form without fully shifting."

Flipping to a new page in her math book she'd read over the page, quietly taking the info in. She'd blink in surprise when she felt the info seep in easily, her mind absorbed the info easily, she knew how to do those equations already. Opening her notebook she'd go to writing, writing out full equations and instantly solving them. Pulling out her homework she'd do the same with some of the equations there.

"So...huh...," she'd blink down at the paper, a little surprised at how easy it was coming to her, "I did that....I just did that."

"I won't get tutored by someone who's got more yarn than brains."
Tomo said jokingly and snickered.
"And you gotta be mentally mature enough to skip grades too and you're too much of a brat for that. Hell, I'd be able to skip a grade too if it was that easy."

Tomo snatched the jerky from mid-air with her mouth and gnawed on it while listening to Shiro.
"That's the easy way out. What's the point if you can't control the beast?"
Tomo answered after swallowing.

Tomo just watched as Shiro answered the math questions like it was her second nature, she had seen similar in class since the school was full of super intelligent people. And when Shiro herself seemed surprised by it Tomo just grinned and reached to ruffle Shiro's hair.
"Should I start calling ya Einstein now?"

She'd giggle and stick her tongue out at her, "I'll be passing both you and Tadashi in grades," she'd say, teasing back. "If you're nice I'll let you borrow my notes," she'd say with that cocky mischievous smirk they both had. "That said.....I can already feel my memory getting better," she'd say with a soft smile, it wasn't going to be a problem anymore.

The cat shifter would turn back to her homework, reading from her book and doing her problems. She was going through them quickly, it felt good, her mind felt clear and strong.

Then she flinched, a pain shooting through her head, a memory she wasn't ready to remember pushing to the forefront. Her hands went to her head and she let out a shaky breath, it was of her adopter mother, he new ability was restoring her memories.

As an answer to Shiro's words and that damn smirk Tomo flicked a piece of eraser on Shiro's forehead and yawned.
"I don't give a damn about grades and I think you know that. Same with Tada. We'll just be happy for ya, blockhead."
Tomo spun around so her legs were dangling over the foot of the bed and she was looking at Shiro upside down.

Tomo didn't lift a finger to study herself, she merely tried balancing a pen on her nose while Shiro studied. Well, until Shiro suddenly flinced and so did Tomo, her expression going serious and eyes shooting to look at her sister. Instantly concern rose up intense and Tomo jerked up and leaned closer to Shiro, who was holding her head and breathing unevenly. Tomo used her soul vision just in case, and what she saw was worrying.
"Shiro? What's wrong?"

"I-I'm fine," she'd say, letting out a shaky breath as the pain subsided, "just a little headache is all." That was just one memory, one of many that'd she'd lost over the years, "uh....anyways, shouldn't you be studying? We have that exam coming up."

She'd quickly look down at her papers, writing down some more answers, she was feeling scared now. She was worried about what would happen if all her memories came back all at once.

"So, uh, how you and Lucas doing?" she'd ask wanting to quickly change the subject if possible and teasing Tomo over her crush seemed like a good way doing that. "You still doing the whole, will we or will we not? routine?" she'd ask with a teasing smirk.

Tomo frowned, Shiro definitely wasn't fine. It was clear to see from her soul and psyche, they already had cracks and now they were in even bigger turmoil. But Tomo knew Shiro didn't like her power, and she didn't want to make her sister even worse by pushing her. So Tomo leaned back, but still kept a watchful eye on Shiro.
"I'll just read my notes day before the test."

Tomo didn't see it from her soul, but she could tell Shiro was scared. Tomo wanted to make her feel better, using her power or just by hugging her, but Tomo's concern was only going to make Shiro be even more afraid.

Tomo knew Shiro just wanted to change the subject, and she let her do so. Although Lucas was the last thing Tomo wanted to talk about now, and she groaned. It was futile to try and deny her crush anymore, it was too obvious for herself and Shiro.
"We don't have any damn routine, for fucks sake. We're friends."
Tomo said, and poked Shiro's forehead.

"Suuuurrrre you don't," she'd say with a chuckle, continuing to fill out the questions, her mind easily remembering how to work the equations. "In all seriousness though...," she'd give him a smile, "he seems nice, you two seem like a good match."

She'd hum, her head still hurting a little from the memory, Alia watched her from her corner, a concerned look on her face. "Dating is weird isn't it?" Shiro would say, having learned this fact earlier than most.

The cat shifter looked down at her papers, so much had happened relationship wise. She'd daten and broken up with a terrible girl, everything around her had gotten weird. "How are you?" she'd ask, the back of her mind tingling, the other memories starting to stir.

Tomo snatched a pillow and groaned into it, when Shiro kept going talking about Lucas. She also did that to hide her face, that was slightly flushed. But Tomo forced the redness back with sheer willpower and looked at Shiro with a raised eyebrow when she suddenly spoke seriously.
"Good match for friends, in all seriousness."
Tomo wasn't gonna try and do anything about this crush, or not anything more than she had already done. Which was basically confess. But Lucas didn't know it had been her.

"Of course dating is weird, we're just brats who don't know enough about."
Tomo often felt older than she was, and that's why she sometimes had to remind herself she was actually still just 14, and so was Shiro. They weren't in a hurry to do or start anything, they were going to live for 500 years, after all.

"How I am? Uuuuuuuh...I dunno. Decent. Living life. What else can I do? And what about you? Everything alright, sis?"
