Private Finished The Cost Of Intelligence

"Oh you know how it is Tomo...it's all good," she'd flash a smile, her eyes looking down to her homework though she wasn't writing anymore. "Just doing school and all that, normal stuff I guess," she'd set her pencil aside and grab a piece of jerky, quickly eating it.

She could feel the broken pieces that were her memories piecing back together like a puzzel. It was a strange feeling, she thought it would be nice, but it was all happening to fast, her emotions weren't adjusting properly to its speed.

The cat shifter very slightly flinched as another memory induced pain hit her, not as strong as the last though. "So uh....did you want to do anything for winter break?" she'd ask, "we'll have time off for the holidays."

"Eh it's boring, I like exciting stuff," she'd brush hair from her face, her fingers going up to toy with the three piercings in her left ear. "Maybe we should find a party to go to or something," she liked crazy things as distractions, things to get her mind off of things from time to time.

She'd chickle, "well we have Tadashi and our friends to do stuff with, I could see if Eva wants to do something." She'd eat another piece of jerky, trying to ignore the memory scratching at the back of her mind, trying to be fully remembered.

"We gotta drag Tadashi outside for at least one snowball fight, otherwise he'll nap through it all," she'd giggle a bit at that thought.

"I wouldn't say I'm a social butterfly," she's toss a piece of jerky at her, aiming for her mouth, "I just like having fun it all." She'd scratch one of her cat ears, "I haven't really done much lately, just stuck to the school and stuff."

She'd look down at her homework, realizing she'd actually finished she'd push it to the side. "Maybe I'll see if Tadashi will go to a small party with me," their calm and lazy brother at a party was an interesting idea.

Another memory hit her, she'd flinch, holding her head, shaking as the images shot through her mind. It hurt, remembering all these awful things hurt so much more than she expected. Soon tears were silently rolling down her cheeks, she wasn't ready to remember any of this.

"I-I'm remembering," she'd say, trying to push through the pain and emotional shock that was hitting her. "I'm remembering it all....my power is bringing it all back," the images continued to flash through her mind before stopping for now, she could feel more coming.

She'd let out a shaky breath and wipe her tears away, "my power, it's fixing my memory problems, so it's....it's making me remnants all the memories I lost." They weren't good memories, but they were things she wanted to know, even though she wasn't ready too.

"I'll be ok," she'd take breath, rubbing her cheeks, trying to get a hold on her emotions, "it's why I wanted the power, so that I could remember and so I'd stop forgetting things."

She'd lean against her, happy to have her support. "S-she took a lot of my memories," she'd finally say after a while, "took a lot things from me." The tears continued to silently flow, "it's why I couldn't remember your and Tadashi...couldn't really remember our mother."

She'd start to shake a little, "the woman who raised me....the one I called mom, she took all that away from me." She wanted to have the few good memories she had back, the few good moments fight had gifted her.

"S-she erased them when.....when she erased the other memories....memories of the experiments," she'd have scars, but the witch had of course healed them, another piece of evidence she'd destroyed.
