Amber watched with her six yellow eyes towards the brilliant and radiant flame near the center of the clearing. The inviting glow of the fire almost beckoned her to join and mingle with the rest of the crowd but she refused its temptationious calling. Her mother told her to stick by the tree lines and that is what she was going to do! Besides, she had no problems being by herself now that her dumb sisters were not around to mess with her. Just her and this cute juvenile raccoon directly behind her.
Amber looked behind her to find her furry little behind her who had gotten a little be closer to her than the last time she had looked behind her.
"Oh! Oh hello there tiny racoon! Did you come to say hi?" spoke Amber softly as to avoid scaring off her new furry friend.
Amber rotated her body to face the tiny mammal. Amber gave the tiny creature a warm gentle smile even as it stared back to her frozen in fear of her. The two locked eyes with each other for what felt like a whole minute, but the moment Amber raised her hand to try to pet the creature, it quickly scampered off into the foliage. As the raccoon scurried off into the darkness, Amber recoiled her hand and looked on sadly to where she had last say the raccoon.
"Awww..." quitely whimpered Amber... she really wanted to pet the fluffy critter.
It was just then Amber could hear a familiar voice calling out to her. It was a bit distant be even she can make out her bigger sister's voice calling out her name and how her mother wanted to see her.
"Oh... COMING!" cried out Amber as she used her at legs to leap off from the tree branch and rapelled herself saftly to ground with her thick spider silk to support her on her decent.
Once she had all eight of her feet on the ground, Amber scurried among the many guests searching for either her mother or her fellow sisters. Being around so many people made her search rather disorientating for the young spider demon unaccustomed to being around so many people in one place. Unable to find her mom or her sisters on her own, Amber thought she should ask the people to help find her family. Her mom would be pretty unmistakable given her size and appearance so someone is bound to have seen her!
"Excuse me! Have you seen- oh... okey. Hello! Did you see big spider lady... around... her... ummm... okey.... I guess your busy. Hi Miss! Can you help me- oh... err... I guess not. I'll just ask someone else."
Amber was routinely ignored each time she tried to ask her question. Amber was undeterred however, they were all busy and so it was understandable that they would ignore her. That was when Amber made eye contact with a pretty looking demon lady who did not appear too busy so Amber wasted no time striding over to her. Once Amber is now standing across from the demon lady with cute little demon horns, Amber gave her a charming little smile and asked the lady her question.
"Hello ma'am! Have you seen my mommy? She looks like me but bigger! Like... really big!"
To emphasize the size of her mother, Amber stood as tall as she can on her tippy toes and hold her right hand as high up in the air as she could manage.
"This big! Have you seen her?"
Amber then lowers her herself back to her original position, stilling looking up the the demon lady expectantly with her big yellow eyes.
