It was night, the stars shiniong overhead. There was not a cloud in sight, the moon giving off an eery glow. The snow gleamed on the ground, reflecting the pale light to whomever was there to see it.
There was indeed one to see it on that beautiful winter night, a man in his late two thousand years. He didn't look old, no more than the average vampire. As usual, the brown haired vampire was alone, not that he didn't like compagny of others, they usually fled whenever he was around.
Sighing, the black clad figure placed his head in his hands, his grey silver like eyes overlooking the ground in a haze of thoughts. He had never known anybody for long, even vampires, they usually would go away once the competition became too much for them.
It wasn't his fault his presence as a vampire made him a threat to most younger vampires. They found him to be too old, they were affraid of him most of the time even if he tried to be nice and gentle with them, they were after all only kids.
At that moment, he was feeling particularly vulnerable, his emotions could be seen on his face. Oh he wasn't searching for a wife or anything, he had lost his mate a long time ago, but thrustworty company was allways welcomed.
Sighing, he let his thoughts wander, allowing himself to get lost in them. The vampire didn't really care if someone snuck up on him at that moment. Death wasn't something he had feared in a long time. Even if he died, he had decided he didn't care, he would simply join Elizabeth, which would be good.
