Nebula's eyes widened. Not at Neon transforming. That was per usual on this island "What? Really?" said Nebula, exasperated. "The VR games are dope, dude. Pretty expensive though. I've only been able to play two, but I've been taking on more art commissions to do another. I could suggest some games. Oh! When you play one, you should invite me."

"I'm still struggling to raise money too, managed to get a spot as a contributor in that one game, but the pay is... Quite small. I couldn't go full time, since studying game development is a high priority in my list, second to none.", and judging by his proud smile, he had been doing quite well himself.

Nebula sighed. It sounded like playing a VR game with another digital friend wouldn't come for a little while longer.

"Oh. Why not get a regular part-time job? Aren't you living at school too? Don't you get an allowance? There are looooots of ways to make money while focusing on school. You gotta learn how to manage your time better."

"Dunno what someone with my specifications could do for a part time. And I live with Izumi actually.", the moment Neon mentioned that name his tail began to wag. By now he even felt embarrassed, trying to contain his tail with his hands. "Manage my time... Hm, I try to, but I everything is to tight-knit as is. Maybe power classes with Digital Silk won't take long, and once I get my transformation under better control, it shouldn't be too hard to find time."

Nebula gave a half-hearted shrug. "I don't know who Izumi is. Guessing she's pretty nice when you're wagging your tail like that. But most jobs aren't really, like, specialized. If you got a good memory, it'd make being a waiter easier, since you can just memorize people's faces and names. Can you handle food and water? If you can't, you could, like, work at a bookstore or something."

"Memorizing shouldn't be an issue. I must have memory to spare!", Neon joked at his own lack of past memory, "But handling food... I'm still learning basic home cooking. It's quite hard to follow Japanese cooking, specially since I don't remember having had any in my past, so everything I cook is quite new for me too."

Nebula laughed at Neon's joke. "See? That's the spirit! And places like that teach you how to cook what's needed. All you gotta know is the basics. How to use a knife, how to cut fruit, that sort of thing. If that doesn't work out, go with my other suggestion: work at a bookstore. Or somewhere similar."

"A bookstore isn't too far off either.", Neon gave a hearty chuckle after Nebula had laughed, "It is as you say, it's something anyone can do. That and I would probably pass the time putting them in order when there were no one to help with."

Nebula nodded. "Mhm! Work ranges from suuuuper boring to suuuuper stressful. Trust me. I know. My whole court is about working." She sighed, remembering her days of constantly working on games, marketing, and inspiring humans.

"Ah, all this talk of work got me all tired out. I came here to dance and play with the flowers. Everything got off track."

Hearing her comment on getting tired due to all talk of work, Neon agreed to Nebula with nods, before his ears perked up in surprise. "Dancing and playing with flowers?", there was a hint of curiosity. It's not that Neon himself wouldn't do that as a way to pass time, either he often found himself trying something new or playing games or doing some harmless mischief.
