Jolin sat on the roof, gazing up at the stars and moon. She felt so completely at peace out here in the night sky. Everything in the world just seemed to disappear and it was like there was nothing in the universe but her and millions and millions of brightly shining lights. She closed her eyes, but opened them again at the sound of flapping wings. There were three or four pigeons standing in front of her.
"Hello." she said to them. They all cooed in reply. "It's beautiful out here, isn't it? It really is nice. I wish I could see it like you can, from high up in the sky without the limitations of this roof... with no limitations at all..." She trailed off as she was caught in a daydream. The pigeons spoke to her some more, telling her about the things they had seen. She just closed her eyes and listened, and smiled. Suddenly, they all flew away and she turned to see she had been joined by another student. She tried to act like she hadn't seen them, because she knew they probably came up here for privacy.
