Stefan's eyes widened at her proposition. His lopsided grin coming out full force. This time, it was his cheeks that blushed a bit. He had been hoping to score an official first date with Zora, but hadn't expected it so soon.

"I'd be crazy not to want to see you again."

There were only a few small remnants of fries left on his plate. He snatched one up and popped it in his mouth. Honestly it was more of a distraction to try and keep up the cool guy appearance abs get the color to drain from his cheeks.

"What'd you have in mind? I now know of this place and that's still it. I'm down for anything."

She seemed to be coping with the rollercoaster of emotions much better now and way better than most did after first eye contact with him. She was a business woman and Stefan doubted she made decisions without thinking them through. He was excited to see what she was thinking.

Smiling, Zora couldn't help but feel a tad relieved when he said yes. It had been a while since she had asked anyone out, and today was just a bundle of weirdness wrapped up in what seemed to be fate.

"That's great. A relief actually," Zora admitted unabashedly. "I wasn't too sure you'd say yes."

Picking at her sandwich, Zora thought about his question. "Well, we could go out to eat, maybe get some drinks. There is also the Pier, but the weather has been too weird lately to visit the boardwalk," she mused.

"Oh, I know... There is Club Orpheus too. We could have a drink and catch a live band or two if you wanted," she suggested as she tried to think of some places they could go.

"I'd offer to cook for you, but I'm afraid I'd probably give you food poisoning," she told Stefan with a wry grin.

Zora began to rattle off things that they could do after admitting she was relieved that he had said yes. Shouldn't it have been the other way around? Stefan wasn't gonna dwell on that fact too much. It was happening and that's what counted.

This club peeked his interest a bit as she explained they could get drinks and enjoy a band. That definitely seemed like it could be a fun night.

"That club sounds like a good place to me."

A grin came about his face as she mentioned cooking and giving him food poisoning. Surely it couldn't be THAT bad... could it?

"Well for you took cook for me we'd have to be at my place or yours. Seeing as how I have no furniture it would have to be yours, so I feel like you are trying to con me back to your place."

His smile betrayed him and the joke he was throwing out there. It was meant to lighten the mood and as he did he winked, again hidden behind the mirrored lenses.

"I did it again... that was a wink...."

"Wha-?... Ohh! Oh no... No, I promise you I wasn't trying to lure you back to my place. Well, not yet anyway... " Zora exclaimed laughingly when she realised Stefan was only teasing her about trying to con him again.

"I was actually warning you that any future romantic moments with me will probably never include food prepared by myself, unless, of course, you like scorched toast and underdone eggs. I have been told that food trembles in my presence," she joked as she took another sip of her water.

"But no, being real. Club Orpheus is a great option. A close friend of the family owns it and I have been meaning to check it out," she said as she smiled warmly at Stefan, feeling, despite everything that had happened earlier, very comfortable with him.

It was funny how an accidental run-in with a stranger could turn into an impromptu lunch date/moment or whatever was happening between them right now.

"Well when we get to that point, I'll cook the eggs."

Stefan smiled once more and a laugh escaped his lips. He couldn't help but be relaxed around her. Almost any semblance of them being total strangers a very short time ago was basically gone.

"It sounds like a date to me then."

He twisted his lips a moment thinking. They had decided where, but what about when? Stefan had all the time in the world right now. He doubted the same could be said the other way around.

"So when are you thinking for date number two....one.... whatever it is? I'm basically free. But big boss lady here. Can you fit me into your schedule?"

"That is a very good question actually," Zora grinned as she grabbed her handbag beside her, opened it up, and took out her personal daytimer.

"Gimme one moment," she said glancing up at Stefan as she flipped to the week they were in and inspected her timetable. So far, she had a meeting tomorrow evening with one of her nocturnal clients, so tomorrow night was definitely a no go... and the day after, she had client meetings all day, but had the evening free. After that, she was in the office but it appeared to be a fairly normal week.

"I work tomorrow night late. I have a meeting with the nocturnal client, after that though, I should be free in the evenings til the following weekend," she said as she flipped the pages back and forth to double-check.

"Any preferences? This Friday is good for me..." she said as she closed her agenda. "Although, maybe you are a poetry fan and prefer next Wednesday?" she said remembering that was when the club had its poetry evening.

As zora flipped through pages trying to seen when she was available, the waitress brought the check back over to their table. Stefan smiled at her, asked her to stay a moment as he grabbed his wallet. He pulled out enough cash to cover the bill plus a good tip. The waitress bid them a good day and went to check on other patrons.

Friday night or Wednesday? The assumption was that Friday's would be more of a regular club, whereas poetry night would be a little calmer. He was feeling up for something a little more lively.

"I'm guessing Friday's are just regular club scene? I've itching to get out and do something with some more life to it."

Stefan leaned back in the booth and placed his hands on top of his head with his elbows pointed outwards as he stretched a little. His biceps flexing slightly against the resistance through the stretch.

"Friday night it is then," Zora agreed as she slipped her agenda back into her purse so she would not forget it.

"To be honest, I am not a huge fan of poetry, so the Friday night scene definitely suits me better" she confessed as she watched Stefan stretched a little, quietly admiring his upper body for a moment as his muscles strained a little against the fabric of his shirt.

"Well," Zora said as she tore her gaze away before he caught her staring. "as much as I'd like to stay and chat some more," she said as she glanced at her watch and was surprised by the time. It was a little after five. Time had definitely flown by.

"I really should be getting back to the office soon," she told him, her tone rather regretful as she slowly got to her feet.

So it was a date then. As quickly as the high had come up, it went back down as Zora began to stand. He hated that she had to leave already but definitely understood it. Stefan stood up quickly with her.

"I guess all good things have to end."

He chided a little knowing they had plans to meet up later in the week. Shooting her a smile he dug through his pocket and pulled out his phone.

"Hey before you get swamped with work let me get your number. You know...in case anything happens."

Stefan made sure to stand to the side to allow her room to slip by him as they made their way to the exit.

"Not exactly an end though, is it?" Zora pointed out with an understanding smile as she slipped by Stefan and came to stand next to him.

"Besides, we will see each other again soon," she reassured him as she watched Stefan pull out his phone which she gladly accepted from him and proceeded to punch n a whole bunch of numbers.

"I gave you my work number and my private just in case," Zora informed him as she held out his phone to him as she gave it back.

Standing there awkwardly for a moment longer, not really wanting to leave yet, Zora finally said goodbye. "Call me later tonight if you like, or if you are bored..." she offered. "I am usually up late, " she told him.
