Ian shrugged, "It just seems really interesting, that way you know if someone thinks your weird or if they like you or not..you know?" Ian shrugged again and put his head back on his arms.

"Yes I do know. Because I have that power." Kacey admitted to him. She couldn't let him talk about it without telling him that she had that 'gift'. It didn't feel right.

"Oh." replied Ian kind of cautiously, "I always thought it would be cool and everything, but the idea of someone else knowing how I feel right now probably better than I do kind of creeps me out." Ian sighed, "But I guess, it doesn't hurt knowing someone who can sense your emotions, that way when you feel really mixed up, you have someone to help you sort everything out.."

"I never looked at it that way, I always just thought it was a annoyance. Most people think it is." Kacey said, starting with her parents they didn't like it and everyone else she had met didn't like it.

"Well I think it is pretty cool." Ian smiled at Kacey. "Try to think of the positive things your powers could be used for." Ian took another rock and looked out onto the lake. He threw it. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10...11... Ian's eyes widened as the rock reached 12 and finally sunk. Gee... he thought, That one took awhile.

Kacey smiled back, "Thank you, that's really nice of you to say." She said feeling a bit proud of her powers suddenly, she usually never felt anything like that about her powers.

"Your welcome." said Ian softly as he was about to throw another rock but decided that his rock skipping may be a bit distracting or annoying. Ian crossed his arms and rubbed his hands up and down his arms a few times. Only now had it become apparent that he was only out in jeans and a t-shirt.

"I can also become invisible." Kacey said, trying to keep the conversation going, she didn't know what else to say. Kacey stared at her hand, and moments later it disappeared. "Sometimes I don't think I need the powers to become invisible though." She said sadly.

Ian laughed, "I can think of a good use for that.." He laughed again, "No, but seriously, there has to be something about it that you can benefit from." Ian strecthed but then rubbed his arms again because he was cold now that he kepy thinking about it.

Kacey’s hand reappeared again. "I dunno." She shrugged, she never actually used her powers In a benefiting way before. "I want to be normal." Kacey sighed, because of her powers she couldn't be with her parents, and she didn't see them much anyway.
