"Oh," Shay was a little disappointed. She was hoping it had been a phone, so she could play with it. She let that particular conversation drop there. "So, any plans on where we're going?"

Kenta shook his head. "Theres always something to do downtown. Sometimes theres even music playing in the streets. I... don't think a club would work out. You could accidentally get bumped or something. But..." He smiled at her, his tails swaying behind him. "I'm sure I can find something fun."

"I don't think we're old enough to get into most clubs downtown," Shay said with a grimace. She hated the very idea of some kind of dance club. She decided to trust his judgement. He was protective enough that she knew he wouldn't drag her anywhere she wouldn't like. Shay peered around as they walked, on constant alert.

"Really?" He asked confused. "They never stopped me."
The streets were populated, but not enough that they would have to weave around crowds. As they walked, she would start to hear music pouring out of different buildings, each with their own uniquely pulsing beat. Around them, vendors of trinkets and foods would beckon them over. Some were standalone stands, while others were set up to draw people into small shops. Kenta would glance at them, but he seemed to be waiting for something. He would glance to her every once in a while too.

Shay was confused at his glances. She tried to see what he seeing, but she couldn't manage it. Why was he looking back at her? Was something on her face? She reached up and rubbed at her nose, raising an eyebrow at him. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Oh." He looked around again. "I was hoping something would catch your eye. Like I said, I don't have any specific plans, but... There should be something good here." He sniffed the air. "Something smells good, but... You never seem all that hungry, so probably not that."

"Oh," Shay peered around in search of something herself. She pointed off to a jewelry stall. "We could try there. This place is kind of busy, so, there isn't a lot I'd want to do here. The lights are pretty, though." She looked up at a series of lanterns hanging from streetlamps.

"Sounds good to me." He agreed, walking them over to the shop. This one had a full store attached, so it was easier to tour without risking contact with others. "I think there was a festival recently. The lanterns are common during festivals back home." He explained as they wandered inside. He seemed to still be glancing around, now at the people rather than at the items on sale. He was smiling, but seemed wary of them, especially when they got close. "So... You don't come to places like this a lot..." He sighed, and turned his smile to her. "I couldn't beat that beast with my own strength, but I feel confidant saying I can make this at least safe for you. So if the crowd is why, don't mind them. Just have fun."

Shay returned his smile, showcasing one dimple on her right cheek. She held up her other hand. "Don't worry too much; I wear a lot of clothes so even if someone bumps into me, it's unlikely that I'll have a vision."

Then she looked over some of the jewelry. Most of it made of clay, or smooth, colored stones. They were a particular style; one Shay wasn't too fond of. The rocks were lovely, but she'd never wear any of them. "Do you like any of these?"

He eased up a bit when she said this. He was still wary of those that got too close though.
"Oh, um..." He looked at the jewelry she had been going through and picked up a necklace with a smooth, light green pendant on it. The pendant was an odd curved shape. "This one's kinda cool. It looks like they were trying to go for a Magatama. Though, such a simple design, it might be by accident."
