"It's, er, fine." She brushed it off, unsure how to react. If she had pulled away from him, she'd probably have fallen from the tree anyway. "You must be overwhelmed. I know what that's like. It can be hard." And she did know what that was like, but she had the complete opposite reaction when over her head. She wanted to stay as far from people as possible.

He nodded. "I... I'm just.... I was someone else. A monster. Its... A lot to take in...Just... It means a lot that you're sticking with me through this..."

"But you're not a monster now. The person who that was, that's not you. People change. Things change, Kenta. I don't think anything worse of you now that I've seen that other side."

"..." He smiled, a large amount of relief mixed with a bit of disbelief. She really... "Thank you." I'm not him... If she believes that... He took a deep breath, and slowly stood up on the branch. "Its gotten late. Maybe we should get down from here."

Shay looked down. Her face was once again closed off. She didn't want to go home. She didn't want to sleep or for it to be the next day when this moment had been so perfect. "All right." She had to stop herself from adding the I guess to the end of that sentence.

She shimmied near the trunk and descended slowly. Her shoulder was sorer now than it had been earlier. The pain meds had worn off; that was going to be unpleasant.

He noticed her expressions change. He had thought she wouldn't want to be out this late, but if thats how she felt...
Kenta followed her down, getting to be a branch or two below her as he hopped down, making sure she didn't slip on her way down, or rather he could catch her if she did. Once they touched down, he turned to her. If she wanted to stay out later...
"The sun may be gone, but the night's still young. I know you're not big on crowds but..." He offered her his hand and smiled. "Wanna wander the town with me?"

Shay smiled gently; it was almost no smile at all it was so slight. She reached out and took his hand, her gloves to his. Every time she saw his gloves, she was reminded that he had gotten them for her. That was an odd feeling. For her. She didn't often get to say that. For her and her alone. As if touching her was something to go out of his way for.

"I'd like that. I have to get back before ten, though, okay?"

He nodded and held her hand as he lead her down the path back toward town. "The suns barely set." He pointed out before slipping his free hand into his sleeve. It came out with some device, which he checked. One would assume a phone. "Yep, seven. Plenty of time" He confirmed to himself. The device was light blue and rectangular in shape, with something gold colored in the back. Was... Was his cellphone... A gameboy? No chance to examine further, as it slipped back into his sleeve as quickly as it had come.

"Was that a phone?" Shay asked, interested, both because it looked different than other phones she had seen and because she had never owned a phone herself. She wondered where they were going and hoped it would be somewhere nice, preferably without food.

"Hm? Oh... Nope." He smirked and pulled it out again. "Old gameboy color. Laetus gave it to me. This pokemon game keeps the time though, so its useful beyond just entertainment." As he lead her into town, she would see the cities lights ahead of them.

He wasn't thinking a restaurant, but there... may be snacks :3
