It's almost bittersweet to watch the leaves slowly fall down onto the once bare floor. It made Parrasse sigh every time her eyes trailed outside, as if her looking out there slowed down the process. She loved winter too, but there was always something better about not having to trek through whiteness to get to work or school. It was less of a hassle in the other three seasons, for sure.

With that in mind, her sales seemed to always drop a bit during this time, only to ramp up again around Christmas. She was popular for making many yummy treats that anyone would enjoy to munch on. For now, she only stood at her counter, her eyes fixated on a lonely bug that was desperately trying to escape her store, just waiting for someone to swing that glass door open.

A short form, clad in somewhat worn, dark clothing, strode along the sidewalk, smiling slightly. Today'd been a good haul. He had gotten enough money from busking that he shouldn't have to pick any pockets for a few days! Now, let's see...Needed some more medical stuff, just in case...Needed some more food, that was getting a bit low...Probably needed a new blanket,as well. It was starting to get a tad cool...

The boy paused in place, right outside a sweets shop, as the delicious smells from aside grab onto his nose harder then a clamp. He starts to turn, but stops, biting his lip. Cor shouldn't...it wasn't necessary, it wasn't needed..He'd be better off buying more practical food...His stomach suddenly made it's opinion known.

Well...maybe just a couple of items, as a snack. The boy hadn't had sweets for a good while, after all. Reaching toward the door handle, he opens it and steps inside, giving a hesitant wave to the lady at the counter. "Uhm....yo..."

Her gaze was disrupted soon afterwards, but not by what she expected to see. Sure, she got many children coming into her shop in hopes of going away with barrels of chocolate and pastries. Most of the time she gave away samples -and sometimes even larger ones- to children and adults alike. Still, as much as she loved children, she couldn't have her entire store's stock taken out by them and their little smiles of joy. She smiled at him nonetheless, making her back straight and her face gleaming. "Hello there! Welcome to Sweet Tooth there, how many I help you?"

Cor tilted his head at the welcoming smile, giving a hesitant one back, before going ahead and walking up to the counter. She would see a short, slender boy with short, messy black hair, eyes covered by a pair of shades. On his back was a dark grey and black camo patterned dufflebag, as worn as his clothing."Uhm...just want to get a few things...Ma'am."

The little boy looked a bit, odd. Not that she was going to judge, but it seemed as if he was, lonely. "Oh hello, welcome there, I'm Parrasse!" Her beaming smile radiated from her. "What were you thinking about getting today?"

Cor nodded slightly, surveying her warily from behind his shades. Well...at least she was being friendly. He'd encountered a few shop owners who weren't so pleased to have a scruffy kid like him in their stores. Relaxing slightly, the boy grinned. "Thanks for the welcome, Ms. Parrasse. And uhm...not sure, actually. I've never been here. Something chocolaty, though, if you have it..." Resisting the urge to drool at the thought of getting something with chocolate, Cor tilted his head. "Uhm...heh, any recommendations?"

"Chocolatey...." She hummed, ecstatic with the young boy's manners as she thought of what to say. "I have many chocolate things in my store. It just depends what you're really looking for!" Moving away from her position, she went over to one of the glass displays. "Chocolate bars, donuts, danishes, long johns, cake pops, you name it!" When the thought of recommending something popped in, it dawned on her that she didn't have a favorite. "Well... It depends on what mood I'm in. If there's nothing that you like now, you can always make a request and I'll make something just for you!"

To be fair...Corvin would probably be a good deal more cheeky if it weren't for the fact he didn't want to offend the lady and lose the chance to get some tasty(and for him, rare) treats. That, and he tended to revert to shyness and wariness when interacting with someone he didn't know, unless of course they were getting on his nerves or he otherwise didn't like them.He tended to unload the snark then.

Still, the boy couldn't help but grin slightly as she responds by saying they had lots of chocolate things, following her over to the glass display, shade covered eyes eagerly surveying what was laid out in front of him.

Glancing up at her as she says that if he didn't like something, she'd make something just for him, Cor's eyes widen. She'd go through that trouble for him? He bites his lip, then nods. "Uhm...ok...Thanks. I'll just look these over for now, Ma'am."

He was so adorable! Like a son for her, one that would most likely never happen. "mhm! Take your time, please." Her voice echoed onto the walls as she got back to putting away the rest of her chocolate croissants. "Is it cold out? Do you want some tea or something?"
