Alexandria walks down the sidewalk as she makes her way towards a restaurant after classes today. Instead of staying on campus or making her own food, she decided today was going to be a day where she can treat herself. She hasn't done it often since it cost money and it can get very easily expensive, but today was a day she broke that. Classes were a pain, a new project was just added onto her already packed homework schedule and she didn't know the person she was partnered with. It worries her, that she didn't know her partner. She didn't know if he was going to do his part of the project or just leave it all to her, or worse that he wouldn't do the work well enough to get a good grade.

Letting out a sigh, Alexandria shakes her head and puts those thoughts back into the corner of her mind while she enters the restaurant. There was a small line, not long though as the host gets everyone seated in just a few minutes before it was her turn. Since it was just her, she gets seated at a window on a table where it seats only two people, which she is ok with seeing as she doesn't need a lot of room. As she looks at the menu and quickly decides what she wants, she takes a glance at the doorway and spots a much longer line. She got here at the perfect time it seems, right before the large crowd came in.

Kurt didn't usually have all that much free time, his parents usually made him do the chores and shopping, that plus school work kept him quite busy. So today was a rarity, today he had to himself, so he wandered about the city a while, looking at everything. The young half demon was grateful for his time away from his family, where he could ease down a bit.

Eventually the wandering about built his appetite up, his stomach growled and so he did what was only natural, he sought out food. He quickly found his way to a restaurant, it was packed but he decided to stay for now. His tail wrapped around his waist to avoid anyone stepping on or tripping on it. The line moved fast enough, the tables filled even faster, soon it seemed he'd be turned away.

The hostess of the restaurant had other ideas though, she told him to wait before walking over to a table where a girl his age sat. Before long the hostess waved him over and he realized what was happening. He walked over, smiling shyly, "uh....you don't have to share the table with if you don't want to," he was interrupted by his stomach growling, "so....how about I pay for both our meals?"

Alexandria is looking at the menu, really just debating between a few items when the host comes over and asks if someone from her school can sit at her empty seat. Honestly she wasn't expecting that. She has never had to share her extra seat before because she has never seen a host do that. Ask another person so share their table with someone they didn't come with. Alexandria did hear that this kid was from her school, so she gives a slight nod on agreement before watching the host go over to the kid and bring him over.

Recognition flares through her. The kid from her class, the one she is sharing the new project with. That surprises her because out of all the restaurants in town and everywhere else to eat, she didn't expect that.

When he speaks she shakes her head at his first words. "She asked if I could share the table. I agreed." With that she pushes the chair across from her out with her foot slightly. She's short, so she cant push it out too far, just enough to get the message across. "Sit." She goes back to her menu, but he speaks again and looks at him. "Well..." Debates with herself for a few moments. She wont turn down free food, but it seems wrong to take advantage like that. "Are you sure? You don't have too you know...I was obviously going to eat here anyways."

"Yeah I'll pay for it," she was the girl from his class, the one he'd been assigned to work with. "It's good to see you," he said shyly as he took a seat, he didn't really have many friends, he supposed that he considered her one of them. His tail swayed a little beside him, it's tip twitching a little, "thank you."

He glanced down at his menu, he'd always struggled with his shyness and she was an attractive girl. "Have you come here before?" he asked, his golden eyes looking back to her, "I don't get out much....it's been a while since I've been out to eat." The half demon gave her a shy smile, despite being nervous he was enjoying being here.

"Mind if I ask how long you've lived here?" he took a sip of his water, "I arrived back in October, still adjusting to everything." Being half demon, he'd always known about the supernatural, but the island still had so much he'd never seen before.

When he agrees to play for lunch, all she does is just nod for a moment before replying. "Well, thanks in advance." She's never had someone else pay for her food before, seeing as how Alaska does have many restaurants and stuff ya know? Then there is here and she has friends yeah but none of them have offered to play before, they usually just split the bill whenever they go out, maybe once a month? "And your welcome. This place is packed."

Alexandria goes back to her menu, finally deciding on what she wants to eat before realizing, a moment later, that Kurt asked her a question. "Oh, yeah, a few times. Why don't you get to eat out much?" Eating out is something a lot of people do because cooking for yourself is like working to people and the school food isn't always the best.

"So this is your first year then? This is my second year here, but I go home as often as I can." Living in Alaska, she knew there was a lot of other supernaturals out there, but she never met any of them besides other winter shifters and sometimes a warmer weather shifter but it didn't happen often. So when she first came here, seeing how many other shifters there actually where and what they looked like and all that, it surprised her. She's still getting over some of the other shifters and their looks or whatever.

"Uh...I just..usually eat at home," home wasn't a pleasant place, he didn't like being there, recently he'd been getting out more, trying to stay away when he could. "But..yeah I got a bit of money today, so I thought I'd get something to eat, nice that I won't be eating alone," she was nice, easy to talk to.

"Yeah, I got here back in October, the island is really cool," he gave her a small smile, "hard to imagine it's always been here...I mean, I knew about the supernatural, but this place is different." His tail swayed slowly at his side as he spoke, he was feeling calm and a little happy, the waitress appeared and took their orders

"Mind if I ask where you're from?" he asked curiously, "I'm from California, I hadn't met any other supernatural beings before coming here," well besides his family. "It's been really cool meeting more here."

"So you live close to the school then? If you eat at home most of the time, you have to be. Unless you can teleport or fly if its close enough." She wished she could go home and eat, but flying that far every day or even once a week would just take too much time. Not when there is school work to do as well.

Alexandria nods to what Kurt is saying about the school and the super naturals that live here. He's right, this place is different. Outside of here, a lot of people don't like how they look or what they are or they fear what they can do. Probably all of it to be honest. This place is a safe haven for them. Usually anyways, students can be cruel too.

When the waitress comes over to take their order, she gives her answer on her choice of food for the day, hands her the menu then looks back at Kurt. "California huh? I've heard that place is warm all the time." Shakes her head. "I don't think I could go there unless it was winter. Doesn't it get to the 50's? Oh and I'm from Alaska. We don't get many other super naturals up there, unless they enjoy the cold weather or they are on a very short trip or something."

"Oh uh...I usually don't eat lunch," his eating schedule wasn't super consistent, especially recently when his depression had been a bit worse lately despite his attempts at being more social. "So I usually just...," he shrugged, "hang out somewhere at the school." He'd only recently started making friends and he still has bullies to deal with along with his usual issues.

He'd chuckle a little, "yeah, hot with lots of sun," he poked his own cheek, "but I still ended pale somehow, no tan." The half demon said it all with a slightly playful smile, it was a small joke, a part of him trying to be more social. "Alaska sounds cool, the heat isn't for everyone and I've enjoyed the winter here."

Kurt took a sip of his drink, "I'd never travelled really before coming here, it's been nice seeing someplace new." His tail continued to sway calmly beside him as they talked, "so uh...what so you like to do?"

Alexandria frowns at this. She was always told that lunch is a huge part of someone's day. Especially in the cold weather like Alaska where you can burn hundreds of calories playing in the snow for just an hour, if not more. Depending on what you do. "Lunch is important, you should eat it more often. It's an important meal." She tilts her head at him slightly, trying to figure something out before speaking again. "You can always come eat with me at lunch."

She shakes her head at his words of sun. "Heat and I don't go well at all. I like the cold, but the cold here isn't the same as back home. It's still warmer here then home." At this she shrugs.

Takes a sip of her water as she thinks of his last question. What she does for fun? Mostly she studies or flies or whatever... "Well usually I'm doing homework, but I like to draw sometimes. Doodle if you will. What about you?"

He smiled at this offer, "I'd like that," the young half demon often struggled with social interactions, his nerves made it hard, but this was going well. "I can meet up with you tomorrow at school if you'd like," he gave a small grin, "I can make us something, the school lunches are good but I can still bring something."

"I like drawing too," it was one of his few healthy venting methods, his other were self destructive at times, "it's fun, kinda calming." His tail continued to sway slowly at his side, a sign that he was calm, that his anxiety wasn't currently affecting him.

"I uh...," his tail reached into his bag and pulled out his sketch book, "I'm probably not all that good." He didn't show his art to others often, but she'd been nice and he felt calm, so he offered it to her, in truth he was quite good. "It's a hobby of mine I guess."
