Shiro tilted her head, thinking about witches, how she was one to an extent, how she wanted to know more good witches. "Well.....I am one...sorta," she'd say nervously, thinking she sounded really stupid, "I recently got an enchanted staff that I'm figuring out."

"And uh....," she glanced down at the floor, "I was raised by a witch." Her adopted mother had ultimately been a horrible person who did horrible things, but that wasn't because she was a witch. "I sorta have a coven in Japan....but I'm not really in contact with them," her adopted mother was an exile.

"And....well..," she'd sigh, "sorry, not sure where I was going with this...I haven't talked to many other witches." She heard a ding from a bell, "excuse me, I believe that's your order," she'd step away, returning with Celeste's food, setting it on the table for her. "I'm supposed to be making your visit here enjoyable, instead I'm tripping over my words and being an idiot."

Celeste was definitely intrigued when Shiro told her, somewhat nervously, that she was a witch and kinda new to witchcraft. It reminded her a little bit of her foster son, Azure. He was also getting acquainted with his powers and how to use them.

Thanking Shiro for her food when she sat it down in front of her, Celeste only gazed at the burger momentarily. Returning her attention to Shiro, she shook her head. "No, don't worry, you are fine," Celeste reassured her, understanding her consternation.

"Tell me a little bit about your skill set and if you are a true elemental, or have you discovered that part out yet?" Celeste asked her curiously now.

"Well...uh...I haven't discovered much yet," she'd say, her can't ears going down a bit, "I have some body manipulation abilities." She'd hum in thought, "I can cause some minor changes to myself, hair length and eye color, things like that." She'd take a small breath before continuing, "I picked up gem generation from my regalia...but not much other magics."

She'd clear her throat, "I wasn't....really allowed to read about or learn real magic before coming here," something of a contradiction given who she'd been raised by, but it was true. "So I'm still figuring it all out."

The young cat shifter glanced down at the floor, a little ashamed and embarrassed at how little magic she knew. She had potential and learned fast, but she was a bit lost.

After Shiro had finished talking, during which time Celeste had noticed her slight embarrassment at not knowing more which was quite understandable, but also unnecessary. Lots of witches didn't realise their ful potential until later in life, or like Azure, they have discovered their abilities somewhat late.

"Well, I wouldn´t worry too overly much about all that. Sometimes powers just appear, others need practice - lots of practice, and sometimes things come naturally and are easy to master," she explained gently.

"Don´t be too hard on yourself, magic is a constant path of learning and bettering oneself," she added as she tried an onion ring.

"Yeah, that makes sense," magic was indeed something that could take time to develop, but she was an eager young witch who wanted to learn as much as she could. "I've been reading all I can," she'd smile a bit, "having access to magic books is nice, and reading on the history of witches."

She then realized how much she'd been talking, she usually let her customer more or less choose the subject. "Sorry, got more into talking than I really intended," it had been nice though, she didn't have many magic using friends to talk about it too.

The young cat shifter looked at her a moment, considering how to say what she was thinking. "Do you....ever do any magical tutoring?" she'd ask, clearing her throat, "normal school stuff I don't really need help with, but magic is something I really want to figure out."

Celeste had been eating her pie and listening quietly to Shiro quietly as she talked about how she had been reading up on magic and the history of witches. Finishing the piece of pie, Celeste placed her fork sideways on the empty plate.

"I do tutor magic," she explained with a tiny smile. "I am not a true elemental though. My family are mainly druids and necromancers, and our magic sources are generally not based on just one element," she explained.

"That said, I do know how to control elements if you need to learn how to do that," she told Shiro as she cupped her coffee between her hands.

"How often were you thinking?" Celeste asked with interest. "Cause until this snow lets up I only have Wednesday and Thursday afternoons free," she told her.

Shiro would collect the empty dish, smiling at the prospect of properly learning magic. "I can do Wednesdays," aged say excitedly, excusing herself she'd step away to pass the plates to the back before returning.

"Elemental magic is one of the things I want to learn next," the idea of controlling fire, ice and lightning was very cool indeed, "plus figuring out how to properly control my staff." She'd managed to fly a bit with it but summoning it still went wrong sometimes. "It uh...sometimes summons above me and lands on my head."

She was almost grinning now, she'd been trying to find some more positive constructive things to keep her busy. "There's so much magic I want to learn," she wanted to know it all, from element manipulation to summoning.

"Wednesdays it is, let me write it down in my agenda," she stated as Celeste took out her phone, scrolled until she found her calendar and added a note to the next Wednesday. When she was done, she popped her phone back in her bag.

"By chance do you have an element you are more in tune with?" Celeste asked curiously as she nibbled on an onion ring. "It's not necessary, it's just always a bit more helpful if you do," she explained, chuckling at the staff problem. It was a familiar complaint, most young witches who used staffs had a few issues at first.

"Try to visualize where you want your staff to be," Celeste suggested, "Like if you want to ride it, visualize it next to you at hip level." she said gesturing down at Shiro's waist, "Don't try to call it to you, simply envisioning it works better."

The young cat shifter hummed in thought. "There isn't just one I'm in tuned with no," she'd admit, "they all feel right to me, I was thinking I should start with fire and ice though." They seemed like the basics, a good place to start for elemental spells.

Nodding she'd step back, focusing she'd visualize the staff. It'd appear, materializing where it'd be for her to ride. Shiro would grin happily, the staff choosing her as its wielder had been exciting, so being able to properly summon it was good.

Then a yell came from the back and Shiro would jump a little. It was her boss telling her to get rid of the staff. "Sorry, sorry," the young cat shifter would quickly step away to put the staff somewhere in the back before returning. "Sorry about that, forgot he doesn't like us using magic while working."

Celeste grinned back at Shiro when her staff appeared where she had suggested. And just as she was to say something about having a clear focus of what you wanted, a man yelled loudly and unexpectedly from the back kitchen area.

"Whoops," Celeste grimaced, "Sorry about that," she said realising that her encouragement may have gotten Shiro into trouble with her boss.

"How about you wrap up the burger for me along with the onion rings and another piece of pie?" Celeste suggested as she looked at her watch and saw the time. It was getting late.

"And we can discuss everything next Wednesday?" she offered as she pulled out her purse and looked for a notebook.
